    The Don Quixote Syndrome

Greetings to all, I remember speaking with a man who was afraid to become a Christian because he didn't want to lose his ability to reason. I thought it was interesting that he thought that way...as he saw that Christians were no longer able to think rationally. And he did have a point. At...

    A Most Neglected Letter

Do you realize that this is from an understanding that salvation is by doctrinal beliefs...which isn't biblical at all? God is not looking for adherence to a certain set of beliefs. That's religion. God is NOT religious. Neither should we be. It's actually a snare and trap we can fall...

    A Most Neglected Letter

Actually it might bring humility...something that is VERY valuable to God....and very wise for us to take hold of. Have you been taught that humility is something to be avoided? Jesus didn't come to sow confusion with His letter to the Laodiceans...but to save them (and us) from the...

    A Most Neglected Letter

Why is this of more value than... Rev. 3:17 "And you do not realize that you are wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked." Why is it so important to choose what sounds better to you? Didn't Jesus also say of us that we are blind and naked? Why do you choose to ignore the words...

    A Most Neglected Letter

You are saying that you are mentioned in the bible? Now it does say that the greatest of these is charity. But you shouldn't confuse a biblical name with your username. It is easy to claim to be everything that sounds good and positive in the bible (of course while ignoring everything that...

    A Most Neglected Letter

I think that most people would agree that Jesus has the right to judge the church....and because of His love for us, also to warn us how to avoid an unfavourable judgment. Now the bible records these warnings of Jesus and the apostles. Writing out these warnings for others to consider would be...

    A Most Neglected Letter

You have a God-given mandate to derail a thread? Only in your own mind you do. Your premise is itself the greatest logical fallacy. You have given yourself your own mandate. Have you heard of Don Quixote?

Drama: "Personal drama is when a person wants to be noticed and talks non stop about their issues and they make it a bigger deal than it should be of things and are very loud about it." How to Avoid Drama

    All are under sin:

"I was asked by someone “would God ask us to do what we couldn’t do?“ Your answer would be..yes!... He would ask us to do something like be perfect and overcome sin all by ourselves WITHOUT giving us the power to do it. (you don't believe that God can empower us in these human bodies). Or you...

    A Most Neglected Letter

We live in a time where correction is seen as offensive. Imagine a direct rebuke? Unthinkable. But the point is to get people to see the argument. If a person is unwilling to hear the argument then we move on. Sometimes it is necessary to answer a remark...and sometimes not. But always to...

Putting on of the new self

We need to be honest about our level of walk. Are we walking in resurrection power and life....a supernatural gifting that works miracles everywhere we go? THAT is the power that revolutionized the world at the time of the early church. The ministers of THAT grace were raising the dead, healing...

Putting on of the new self

Having a doctrinal position isn't the same as being transformed by entering into His resurrection life. Putting on the new man is NOT a slow process of a gradually improving walk. What we can improve in is a maturity in righteousness. This is not a bad thing at all...in fact this is crucial to...

Putting on of the new self

While there is nothing essentially wrong with trying to improve oneself...as the OP is really suggesting...by acting with more righteousness, kindness, and love for others...it is very wrong to equate that kind of self-improvement with the "putting on of the New Man" as Paul testifies of in the...

    A Most Neglected Letter

Ezekiel 13:22 22 “Because with lies you have made the heart of the righteous sad, whom I have not made sad; and you have strengthened the hands of the wicked, so that he does not turn from his wicked way to save his life. Isaiah 5:23 23 Who justify the wicked for a bribe, and take away the...

The 4 Pivotal Subjects in Scripture

It's important to understand that no one gets more kudos from God for correctly identifying the exact way God does things...or how He is "put together" in Himself. This is more of a curiosity thing ABOUT God. If we could send a spacecraft or mount a telescope to investigate these things...

    A Most Neglected Letter

Are you saying you are rich in Christ and have need of nothing? You have gained spiritual wealth? History repeats itself over and over but the wise see themselves in it and change course. We are complete IN Christ. But to be complete we can't just believe about Christ...but actually enter INTO...

Loving Jesus enough to obey Him ensures salvation

Always a possibility...in fact we all play with fire at times until we realize just how fragile we are.

Loving Jesus enough to obey Him ensures salvation

Humanity brings in the chaos into salvation theory...the random uncertainty of it. Grace also works like this. A born again person is like the wind....fully unknowable to us as to origin AND destination. But God knows. So grace removes any possibility of certainty or assurance on that level...
