I don't see TV events being linked directly with the rapture. More likely, events on earth gradually unfold in relation to the situation to be on earth after the church has gone. So we don't need to keep being vexed about the news; rather, we can peacefully pursue our testimony activities...

@Abigail Different Christians pursue different testimony means, of course. So do you yourself as an inked up woman feel it's indeed for you indeed a fulfilling and wholesome Bible content-related means of witnessing that you can use maybe quite regularly?

@FluffyYellowDuck I often think that if we spent more time reading our Bibles and praying and cheerfully helping ppl, we might have less time for stuff that's on TV and the computer, etc.

Hi @Abigail; I've notices that on other sites some of what I type can get inadvertently crossed out in that way. Probably something to a mismatch of computer programs or something....but I don't really know...

@FluffyYellowDuck I guess the context of Song of Solomon is relevant; ostensibly it's a love poem, but underlying it are lessons about devotion to the Lord. (Personally I think it relates to Israel rather than the church, although applications can be made to the church).

Hi @FluffyYellowDuck Think also of the harmony between Father, Son and Holy Spirit in John's Gospel; a sure foundation for Biblical meditation... :)

I don't believe in sinless perfection; even as we rest by faith in the finished work of Christ at the Cross for sinners, we still have a spiritual conflict (Ephesians 6), without and within.

Hi @MatthewG We still wrestle not against flesh and blood...(Ephesians 6)...and we need to use the whole armour of God in the spiritual conflict. Even while we know that the Lord Jesus has gained the victory at the cross (1 Corinthians 15.57).

@Abigail They have a profound knowledge of politics and influence and of how the world works. But I am reminded of the words of the Lord Jesus: "Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me." (John 14.30)

@Naomi25 ; @Truth7t7 I heard of a case where someone died and left money to found a Christian synagogue. The executors and charity commissioners spent years of confusion trying to sort out the contradiction.....

@Abigail So did you yourself also inherit the artistic skills that your brother evidently did? (...Or maybe he was the only one who seriously considered training and work as a tattoo artist.)
