Faith-based tattoo: as a result of one, did you ever talk with someone? (Poll included)

@Not me Ppl do appear to want strongly to go for the witness opportunities it affords, since what you say seems generally compatible with the understanding of others who have posted about very widely expanding practice, anyway... Nancy said: ↑ Heavenhome said: christianforums

    An expression of His righteousness….

@Not me I'm also reminded of this verse: "But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy." (James 3.17)

    All things have become new.

My point was that if the person is a believer - truly justified before God - then this never changes, even if communion can be marred through certain pursuits.

    All things have become new.

I do believe that we rest in principle in the finished work of Christ at the Cross, while if we are overtaken in a fault (Galatians 6.1) there can be restoration to communions and indeed the believer's Advocate (1 John 2.1) upholds and strengthens.

    God Will Judge His People

@Ronald Nolette FYI: "The storm that bowed Thy blessed head Is hushed for ever now, And rest divine is ours instead, Whilst glory crowns Thy brow." (H L Rossier, tr. Miss C A Wellesley) :)

    My recovery towards Christ

    Great, wholesome verses there....

    There's no "My" in Jesus

I think of the words of Hagar: "Thou God seest me".... (Genesis 16.13).

Faith-based tattoo: as a result of one, did you ever talk with someone? (Poll included)

@Not me Yes, I can just imagine young men and women and older reading Romans 14 and either going to the parlor firmly convinced to get inked up, or else not going to the parlor firmly convinced.

    Liberty of liberties….

I think the word there for harlot basically means female inn-keeper.

    Jesus Is Jehovah

@Christ4Me Great verses there; and I have been struck in John's Gospel at how the Three Persons are portrayed as working in completely harmony.

Faith-based tattoo: as a result of one, did you ever talk with someone? (Poll included)

@Christ4Me I guess a lot depends on how much the person wants to witness via something like a Christian fish sign <><, or Bible ref. on a wrist, etc.

    Jesus Is Jehovah

Interesting perspective; John's Gospel shows considerably how Father, Son and Holy Spirit work together in God's purposes of redemption.

    Prayer request

@Mantis I forget who it was who said, as regards his testimony, something like: "I am not what I should be. I am not what I shall be. But I thank God that by His grace I am not what I once was."

    "My Ideal Home In Heaven"

@VictoryinJesus Reminds me of Matthew 6.19-21: "Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: 20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not...

    Jesus Is Jehovah

@Christ4Me Father, Son and Holy Spirit are indeed deeply present in Scripture, especially revealed in a glorious way in the NT.
