@Mayflower Well, a lot of these threads are quite similar, anyway, I guess...

    divorce and remarriage?

Yes, indeed; seems like the divorced are in a different category as per Romans 7.1-3.

@Mayflower Oh I've known that one for years; a family favorite, actually....

Faith-based tattoo: as a result of one, did you ever talk with someone? (Poll included)

Yes, they honestly do like having it done, at that age, it seems, as per your observations. (Hence the huge opportunities for motivated use of faith based design inkings, right?)

    divorce and remarriage?

@GodsGrace Commitment is an important word here; it's nothing like the turning on and off of a faucet/tap (which is the way some ppl seem to practise it...)

Faith-based tattoo: as a result of one, did you ever talk with someone? (Poll included)

@Mayflower Oh so if it didn't even hurt you likely appreciate all the more having gone through the experience of getting it. (In some ways, women also do probably have a better pain tolerance than men, in any case, evidenced by the widespread growth of tattoo parlors' lady clientele.)

OSAS But Be Ready Or Else

We may remember that the kingdom of heaven may contain mere professors rather than those who inwardly and spiritually possess the genuine article.

    Please pray for me again

@Mayflower The path of faith does indeed teach one to learn from one's difficult experiences, as in Isaiah 48.10: "I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction".

OSAS But Be Ready Or Else

Peter's denial, for example, was not the final rejection of apostasy, but more of a case of being 'overtaken in a fault'.

Faith-based tattoo: as a result of one, did you ever talk with someone? (Poll included)

@GodsGrace Really does seem like it's how they think, when teens turn into adults, like: "I was a girl, now I'm an adult and because I'm an adult, this is my (first) tattoo..."

    divorce and remarriage?

It turned out to Joseph that the circumstances were not what he at first thought. I don't see that regrets over marriage justify people deciding to go against other passages of Scripture.

@Mayflower I appreciate the pun! I guess you would also say the inking pain is certainly worth it, right?

Faith-based tattoo: as a result of one, did you ever talk with someone? (Poll included)

Thanks for your 'like', @Mayflower ; I was trying to find that photo which you kindly posted, but I couldn't see it; he certainly seemed to like his ink; I guess you can up to a point empathize, right? if not to the same extent of inking, anyway.

    divorce and remarriage?

@GodsGrace The exception clause of which the Lord Jesus spoke can been seen in the context of the Jewish betrothal period, when someone who - for whatever reason - did not want after all to marry the person to whom betrothed, had to obtain a bill of divorcement. This is what Joseph also was...

@GodsGrace What you just said really does seems to confirm what you already commented a while ago, right?

    divorce and remarriage?

Do you see Romans 7.2-3 as referring to the allowance of re-marriage?
  18. F

    divorce and remarriage?

Hi @GodsGrace I do think that passages such as Romans 7 and 1 Corinthians 7 are often overlooked.
