Faith-based tattoo: as a result of one, did you ever talk with someone? (Poll included)

@soul man Thanks for the 'like'. As you indicated, back, your wife's nurse evidently must have thought that getting her Scripture tattoo rammed in would work; and indeed it proved to be so with you guys, right?

Faith-based tattoo: as a result of one, did you ever talk with someone? (Poll included)

Back @Rudometkin So did you or your wife ever actively - or passively - consider how a faith based tattoo (Scripture verse or ref.) could be a quiet encouragement or challenge to someone?

Please Argue with me about Head Coverings

@FluffyYellowDuck Your earlier ref. to Romans 14 also causes me to reflect that there are some hardline traditionalists who might try to impose arbitrary rules on women, to the effect that women should not be in employment (C H Spurgeon on the contrary said that the lack - in his day - of...

Please Argue with me about Head Coverings

Sounds similar to the Nazarite vow... In Numbers 24 it's interesting that a Nazarite - a man or a woman - was to shave his or her head after the vow was performed. Some commentators say that this is the background to Paul going to Jerusalem in Acts, to offer his - or Aquila's or Priscilla's -...

Believers need to encourage one another. Walter Lippmann said that the biggest legacy of F D Roosevelt was that 'He gave us the will to carry on'. This is true in the Christian faith also; the generations with their different perspectives can refresh fellow-believers' steadfastness in testimony...

    Covid booster

I think it can be a solemn matter to proclaim a whole segment of people to be immune and therefore with no need to take the advised precautions....and then someone in that category, acting on one's proclamation, gets seriously sick or worse...

Please Argue with me about Head Coverings

@Rita I think there is a lot to be said about respect as a basic attitude, Godward and to others. What also happens in countries that have a large multicultural population (reflected in local church demographics also) is the fact that what some ppl think is not the same as what others do...
