@MatthewG I think it can be useful to remember that Israel is an earthly people while the church is an heavenly one. And so this language may be viewed with varying emphasis according to one's background; all who are saved owe it to the work of Christ.

@MatthewG When you did it, you did one ear only, right? often guys that do it get both done. It can anyway be a manly thing to keep in a simple pair of thick, chunky ones. Sometimes guys prefer them plain; sometimes sparkly; did you have a preference?

The term 'only begotten' refers to the unique relationship between the Father and the Son; it does not mean that the Son is supposedly a created being.

@MatthewG Some believers have studded noses, etc. (not to speak of a little ink also), and are Godly ppl. Same comment about some believers who may smoke a bit.
