Poll: Tattoo art - Christian perspectives: Fight it? Ignore it? appreciate/embrace it?

@MatthewG I think it's becoming increasingly difficult to do so; the fact is that so many ppl - Godly ppl, professional ppl, etc. - have them. Heart2Soul said FHII said: ↑ greenvneck said: forums dot thewelltrainedmind dot com These days ppl seem to go ahead and have it done confidently...

    Why Self Love Fails

@Wynona I do indeed have a problem with the whole idea of self-love. The quote from 2 Timothy is apt indeed. The Lord Jesus Himself, 'was odedient unto death, even the death of the Cross' (Philippians 2.8). 'Even Christ pleased not Himself' (Romans 15.3).

    Should Christians Always Be Healed?

@Faithbuilders Perhaps informed comment, but certainly not for dogmatic assertion.

    Should Christians Always Be Healed?

@Mayflower This is a great title, Jehovah Rophi: I am the LORD that healeth thee... Reminds me of Malachi 4.2: "But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings..."

    Should Christians Always Be Healed?

@Faithbuilders One cannot be dogmatic but some commentators have surmised that Paul had poor eyesight (maybe from his experience on the Damascus Road...)

    The Trinity

@GodsGrace Galatians 2.20 is a great verse: "I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me." Re. Only begotten (John 3.16, etc.), it...

Poll: Tattoo art - Christian perspectives: Fight it? Ignore it? appreciate/embrace it?

@GodsGrace I know you've also said about not getting one after all because of the stage of life you say you are at; well, fine. Leaving that aside, your photo of the tribal armband shows how upper arm is very widely desired as a placement by women who like a tribal style design that goes right...

    The Trinity

@GodsGrace I guess in summary it can be said that the word itself is not in the Bible but what the word 'Trinity' refers to - God in Three Persons - is indeed very much in the Bible....
  15. F

    HERESY?

@GodsGrace Just goes to show how important it is to keep a clear, Scriptural view of the Person and work of Christ...

    The Trinity

@marks What the word 'Trinity' refers to is very much in the Bible, even if the word itself is not in the Bible. God in Three Persons is indeed overwhelmingly Scriptural.

Comment by 'farouk' in media 'Duck Stamp Mallard'

@Mantis It must have taken you many years to develop such artistic skills. I'm sure the canvas makes a difference also, but you must have put so much effort into learning to paint and draw. I can also see why your former clients wanted you to tattoo them.

    Should Christians Always Be Healed?

Hi @Mayflower A key concept, indeed; which for the believer is in the context of much prayer and much Scripture... :)

Rumblings of Things To Come. Personal Thoughts

@Rita Hebrews makes such heartening reading; and if we are kept here, it's so we can follow the by faith: a key concept...even as the OT saints were sustained and preserved....

    Israel and prophecy

@Eternally Grateful In the end, it's what is revealed in Scripture that is safe to trust in... :)
