    shutting up the kingdom

This is happening today as well. There are whole doctrines that deny people entering into kingdom life. Dispensationalism does this. But there is also a lack of understanding of what the kingdom of God is. So then the ignorant teach the ignorant and the blind lead the blind. Same as it ever was.

    ROMANS 8 EXPLAINED

But if we sow to the Spirit....we shall also reap of the Spirit. Here we see that reaping and sowing is not just in the natural world...but also the spiritual heavenly realm. How do we sow to the Spirit? By faith.

    ROMANS 8 EXPLAINED

Paul transitions from...it is no longer I who sins but sin in me....to...it is no longer I but Christ who lives in me. Does Christ sin? If it is no longer I, (the person that sins that is) who lives...but Christ???? When we put on Christ we cannot sin...as John says. But every man sins of...

    Sound Doctrine

We know that evil is like a deep pit...and people can go very deep into darkness. But it seems we don't know the goodness of the Lord goes deeper still. Jesus said..I am the way, the truth and the life. He came to bring us a new kind of life....a life from another place...heaven. Grace enables...

    Sound Doctrine

When Jesus was presented to the Sanhedrin...had they not already judged many false messiahs? Why couldn't this be but just one more false prophet? It seems the only way for people to hear the truth is to see signs and wonders....THEN...they will open their minds to listen to what is being...
  6. Episkopos

    Sound Doctrine

Paul charges us to beware those who are ..."always learning but never come into the knowledge of the truth" So then these know something of the truth...but they resist the whole knowledge of the truth and this for a variety of reasons...indoctrinations, pride, a lack of love and discernment, an...

    Sound Doctrine

We are to be led by the Spirit. So then the truth is not a static thing... A doctrine is not enough...but the truth is. The truth is a living connection to God by abiding in Christ through the Spirit. The truth is to know Jesus and walk as He walked. This is accomplished by the divine gift...

    ROMANS 8 EXPLAINED

There are at least 3 different kinds of sins...and many sins fall into one of these categories. A person can sin through weakness, ignorance, pride...etc... Jesus died for all these types of sins. We can be forgiven all...but we must move forward...repent after sinning...and continue to move...

    Sound Doctrine

...or at least insufficient. The truth can indeed be known. Jesus said..you will know the truth...and not...you will know SOME of the truth or...you will know A truth. That's how I see the denoms...the pillar and ground of a truth....but not the truth. Knowing the truth allows you to see...

    ROMANS 8 EXPLAINED

Paul says in Romans 7...the sin I would not do...I do. So then that isn't willful sinning. That is sinning through weakness. Also Paul says here...it isn't I who desire to sin but it is the power of sin in my members. The law of sin! Now, most Christians i know still sin... Is that not...

    ROMANS 8 EXPLAINED

It really depends on the depth of conversion. I was baptized in the Spirit from the get-go. I walked in supernatural power and light until I couldn't take it anymore. It is difficult to relay exactly the process as it changes from person to person. All we know is where we are...

    ROMANS 8 EXPLAINED

I see the bible describing salvation as a process...from a self-interested sinner to a selfless lover of God and others. What I don't see is a status....since salvation just means you don't die along with the wicked. I think people are too easily satisfied with escaping death...not realizing...

    ROMANS 8 EXPLAINED

Actually the bible says the opposite of what you are saying. Grace is the power OVER sin....not just a scheme that makes sinning OK. The power of God is at work IN mortal bodies...just as in Jesus...no difference. Those who deny this power are actually espousing a carnal salvation...which is...

    Dispensationalism

This of course is a man made doctrine not found in the bible. The bible describes 2 resurrections along with 2 judgments. One is the Bema judgment whereby the house of God is judged. There are both winners and losers here. Then after the Millenium there is a general resurrection and judgment...

    Airheads

Faith moves spiritual mountains. It gets God up off His throne. It changes the world as we knew it.

    The Double-edged Sword

What of the dual nature of the word of God and our calling in Christ? We are to walk in two realms at the same time. Walking in the Spirit is a dual walk...in two realms...simultaneously. Those who walk in both realms will appreciate the words of the Lord...and the sword that has the power to...

    The Double-edged Sword

Heb. 4:12 For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart. Why is the word of God like a double-edged sword? The word of...

    The Double-edged Sword

Greetings fellow forum members. Here is a study and a meditation about the nature of God's word....together with a deeper look at what signifies the dual nature of our calling in Christ. The sword, for our purposes will be seen as a spiritual weapon. Not as a weapon that kills, as in...

    ROMANS 8 EXPLAINED

The difference between Romans 7 and Romans 8 is the difference between Christ in you....and then us abiding in Christ. When we abide in Him AND He is us we experience the full power of Christ through a spiritual walk in Him. What so many are taught is that there is no need to seek after an...

The Law of Moses-Ten Commandments or God's Laws

Agreed. The scapegoat...is sent into the wilderness...not sacrificed. It represents outer darkness in the next age. We see a picture of the day of atonement when Jesus and Barabbas were tried before the people. One was sacrificed and the other set free. The day of atonement is about the Bema...
