    Wonderful verse: Philippians 4.8

@FluffyYellowDuck There is a sense indeed that God's Creatorial glory is basic to the wider body of truth that we call the Christian faith, as evidenced in Scripture.

Jesus in his earthy ministry didn't know that Gentiles would become heirs.

Philippians 2 gives the idea of voluntary subjection; there is omniscience in principle but also the active exercise of it, which is may be distinct.

A Closer Look at the Genesis Creation Account

Totally false. John 1 is full of deity of Christ. 1 Timothy 3.16. Hebrews 1. Etc., etc., etc. God in Three Persons is deeply present in the New Testament. Matthew 28; John's Gospel, esp. chs. 13 - 17; Romans 8; John's First Epistle, etc. This is simply not negotiable.

Poll: Tattoo art - Christian perspectives: Fight it? Ignore it? appreciate/embrace it?

@FluffyYellowDuck Point taken! I see what you mean. At the same time, I can also imagine someone like @ 2 Chr. 34:19 wanting to put lotion on her wrinkled ink.

Living in Sin or just roommates who love each other?

@Rita ; @TEXBOW Sometimes it depends on the look of the situation; some situations are a lot more suggestive of condoms than others are; what the situation actually is and what the situation may look like are not the same at all. It's just as well to be cautious, imho.

Living in Sin or just roommates who love each other?

@Rita Particularly if the spouse is deceased, time does heal; ppl do move on. I know that I had and still have a lot of thoughts about my father, but he passed away nearly 30 years ago; and the thoughts are still intense and indeed appreciative but time does have an effect.

Poll: Tattoo art - Christian perspectives: Fight it? Ignore it? appreciate/embrace it?

@FluffyYellowDuck PS: Sometimes aging causes wrinkles; 2 Chr. 34:19 said about her ink: ↑ Sometimes a balm or lotion can make wrinkles smoother again, right?

    Fencing the table?

@Lifelong_sinner In the end it's good for the local congregation to take responsibility for who it is that partakes of the Lord's Supper. Inevitably one place will be slightly different from another; but this is all part of the beauty of letting local congregations take responsibility; Acts 20...

Thanks for your linked resource, @FluffyYellowDuck ; I just checked it out; interesting... Yes, often we think of balm as metaphorical, spiritual ("Is there balm in Gilead...", Jeremiah 8.22, etc.), but actual remedies which can act as a balm can be an interesting study and indeed important and...

@2 Chr. 34:19 John's First Epistle and Romans 8 also make very assuring reading for the believer trusting in the finished work of Christ. :)
