Poll: Tattoo art - Christian perspectives: Fight it? Ignore it? appreciate/embrace it?

@FluffyYellowDuck In my case, more of a genetic, hereditary rash, etc. (The meds now seem to work well.; not entirely sure what the meds contain.) But you're right; the body does regard tattoos (and piercings, also; some earlobes become inflamed) as an injury; but I guess you never had a real...

Living in Sin or just roommates who love each other?

@Rita I know that you must have some very complex and profound memories of your domestic situation that you have described. I guess that memories and psychological analysis can be very absorbing indeed. In the end looking up, "looking unto Jesus" (Hebrews 12.2) clarifies and guides things...

    (Simple question) Science vs. G-d

    Encouraging verses

@Angelina Great that you have gotten your own photos, with Bible verse captions, produced... :)

    Encouraging verses

@Cachalot Interesting to bring those verses together... :)

Amos 3.3, a thoughtful verse: "Can two walk together, except they be agreed?"

Interesting point about the Northern and Southern kingdom; there came the time when they just couldn't walk together. Thanks...

Poll: Tattoo art - Christian perspectives: Fight it? Ignore it? appreciate/embrace it?

@FluffyYellowDuck On the other thread you mentioned skin remedies. So did you find that your ink gave you any significant skin issues? or maybe it all still worked out okay? I've used a lot of lotions and meds over the years, anyhow, but basically now doing well.

    Wonderful verse: Philippians 4.8

@FluffyYellowDuck Reminds me of Hebrews 11.3: "Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear." We have a glorious Creator; and by grace New Creation in Christ is even more glorious.... :)

    Prayer

@FluffyYellowDuck Pray is indeed a daily joy and privilege (together with Scripture reading...) Some ppl do have skin issue - as have I - while ppl have their different, preferred remedies...

    Wonderful verse: Philippians 4.8

PS: @FluffyYellowDuck There is something very joyful about the Epistle to the Philippians.... :)

Living in Sin or just roommates who love each other?

@Rita The "revolving door" can cause a lot of heartache - and indeed in contexts far wider than marriage situations - but by His grace the Lord looks for steadfastness, 1 Corinthians 15.58. Good that you still have your father to pray for...

    The Shield of Faith/Ephesians 6:16

    @FluffyYellowDuck A precious verse indeed from Philippians 4.... :)

    The Shield of Faith/Ephesians 6:16

@FluffyYellowDuck Try Hebrews 11: all that the Old Testament saints had to contend with - and some of them had to contend with tumultuous circumstances - is recorded as having been met "by faith", "by faith", "by faith".......(which I guess ties in with 'the shield of faith" in Ephesians 6)...

What is it are we to focus on? The temporal aspect, or the eternal aspect of life? What is the most

@MatthewG Thanks, @MatthewG ; my wife and I are doing well, by God's grace.

Poll: Tattoo art - Christian perspectives: Fight it? Ignore it? appreciate/embrace it?

I think of an imaginary - but highly plausible - conversation between two Christian coworkers, Mandi and Jim: ................................. Jim: I'm thinking of getting a tattoo of a Bible verse. You have quite a few tattoos, Mandi.... Mandi: Yes, I've got several, the ones you see on my...

    Why was there a reformation?

@JohnPaul Interesting that Ephesians 4.30 says: "And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption." (A mere idea or influence cannot be grieved, but a Person can be.)

What is it are we to focus on? The temporal aspect, or the eternal aspect of life? What is the most

@MatthewG 2 Corinthians 4.18: "While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal." :)
