@Mayflower A related thought is surely that the Lord Jesus 'humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death' (Philippians 2). He Himself and He alone perfectly fulfills the standard of the Beatitudes.

Hi @Ruminator Justfication - judicially seen before God through faith in Christ - is indeed such a vital, Biblical doctrine, central to the Reformation...

@VictoryinJesus Interesting that the context of the Acts 2.33 is the disciples of John, who had received the baptism of repentance but had not received all the doctrine and facts of the Gospel; they were in a special category in the transitional Apostolic period.
