    just a question about enemies

@JohnPaul I'm reminded of Isaiah 48.10: "I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction." Kind of like, strengthens His people in the difficulties rather than takes them away altogether.

Poll: Tattoo art - Christian perspectives: Fight it? Ignore it? appreciate/embrace it?

@JohnPaul It does indeed work that way when ppl see a Christian design, even though having your time again you wouldn't do it. Does your fiancee in general like tattoos? ...or maybe you guys feel you have had more important things to discuss.

    Why was there a reformation?

@JohnPaul It's so good to be really open to what God's Word teaches about Father, Son and Holy Spirit and the work of the Lord Jesus at the Cross.

@Mantis You must indeed know great deal more than me about the limited options and possibilities and I can greatly sympathize. Yes I can see that bending forward is definitely not an option. I wondered; if instead of lying on a couch as is the custom, someone stood upright straight in front of...

@Mantis Anyway in general it's always a pity not to see talent being used, if it's at all feasible... I hope it works out for you, maybe sitting upright working on a vertical canvas straight in front of you.

A Closer Look at the Genesis Creation Account

@JohnPaul In Philippians 2, the Lord Jesus 'thought it not robbery to be equal with God'.

Silly question, but a thought provoking one:

@MatthewG Indeed, the Word 'was in the beginning with God' (John 1). Hebrews 1: "Unto the Son He saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever". John 3.16 gloriously declares that the One Who was given was the Son; He did not supposedly become the Son when He was Given.

    Eternal Security

If he didn't believe on Wednesday, he never truly believed on Tuesday either, whatever the profession. "Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:" (Philippians 1.6).

@Mantis This is truly marvellous artwork; are you still about to sit upright and paint on an easel in front of you (rather than have to bend forward to tattoo someone) ? Because this is exactly the sort of work that one sees in commercial galleries.

Come together, and enjoy Sgt. Pepper's music appreciation thread.

@Mantis I wondered about those words myself....

@Mantis They can also look wholesome and good. They are so widespread. FHII said: ↑ tattoo hyphen awe dot blogspot dot com pinterest It's so widespread for ppl to want to have it done and if ppl from a good, Bible believing church do eagerly desire to have ink pumped into their skin in...

Was Jesus a spirit being before coming to earth as a human?

    @Bob Estey Excellent point, yes...

@Helen A truly glorious chapter is Romans 8....:)

Was Jesus a spirit being before coming to earth as a human?

@TLHKAJ The Incarnation is indeed a vital truth. A great, vital passage, and I see @Nancy and @Helen think so too...

    Certified Gospel

@soul man Reminds me of "Lydia, whose heart the Lord opened" (Acts 16.14). There needs to be nothing less than Divine intervention by His Spirit for someone truly to embrace the truth of the Gospel.

Please Pray for me to make an important decision.

@Dosia How heart-rending! I am reminded of Isaiah 48.10: "I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction." (The point being, not to avoid the affliction at all costs, but to know by faith that the Lord is with us.) The privilege of prayer never ends. On a totally different, practical note, if...

    Eternal Security

"Solomon Grundy was born on a Monday, Married on a Tuesday, Took ill on a Wednesday, Worse on a Thursday, Died on a Friday, Buried on a Saturday, And that was the end of Solomon Grundy." (I don't see that Solomon Grudy was ever unsaved on a Wednesday if he was preeviously saved on a Tuesday...

    Eternal Security

James Bond at the end of Quantum of Solace was told by the head of MI6: "Bond, I need you back". Bond replied: "I never left". If one ends up not believing and thus dying in sin and unbelief, one never believed in the first place. As in the Parable of the Sower: the ground in which no root...
