@soul man So how is your wife doing now...?

    Living by understanding

@soul man One can indeed see how it is the Cross of Christ which ultimately defines everything the believer is and should be.... This is one reason why the Christ-centred passage in Philippians 2 is so searching and beloved.

Poll: Tattoo art - Christian perspectives: Fight it? Ignore it? appreciate/embrace it?

@marks I saw a video in which a lady explained that the inks that are now used are a lot safer than they used to be...

Poll: Tattoo art - Christian perspectives: Fight it? Ignore it? appreciate/embrace it?

@Mantis Similarly to the comments on the other thread, I think those tattoo artists would also agree that their work is a small amount of real insight and inspiration, while so much of it is the sheer business of hard work and toil... Often its the tattooee that is heartened by the seeming...

    A Fist Full of Doubt's

@Mantis Reminds me of Mark Twain talking about writing; it's 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration...

Intolerance And Judgmentalism In A Christian Forum?

Hi @Rita Adding multiculturalism to the mix - which can greatly affect what some may think is suitable or not suitable - and the end result is very complex sometimes.... :)

Poll: Tattoo art - Christian perspectives: Fight it? Ignore it? appreciate/embrace it?

@marks I think your comment also applies here re. all the Christian young people with Bible verses tattooed, for which some legalistic ppl try to give them a hard time, but who may have had them done with the desire to testify in their hearts.

    Righteousness and Holiness

Hi @marks I've heard it said that worship in the beauty of holiness is the OT type of NT worship in spirit and in truth (John 4)... (Just a thought...)

    @Cachalot: What a keyword there: trust.... :)

Think about it: "No man can buy or sell"

In the end, Matthew 24 and Luke 21 seem to be about a time when the church - properly defined - is not there any more. We all face the tribulation principle of John 16.33 - and the Lord has gloriously overcome the world, which is such an encouragement - but the very specific tribulation of...

    Righteousness and Holiness

A section of Psalm 119 is entitled Tzadek, as I recall... All to do with the great truth of justification....

Poll: Tattoo art - Christian perspectives: Fight it? Ignore it? appreciate/embrace it?

@FluffyYellowDuck You know of course what your own preferences are; as per post #1, various quotes show that people way older have gotten their first ink. I myself had a design which faded on my arm and was not successful; no I'm not a journalist. Do you ever see tattoo parlor portfolios - not...
