Theologically deep interpretation...I like that! :) Normally I say...difficult. So then many will seek to enter by the narrow way but will not be able because it is too theologically deep?!

The Spirit of God is LIKE the wind. Wind is mysterious. It is an invisible force that has great power. But a natural wind is just that...natural. There is no life in a natural wind. The Spirit is as a wind in the natural...but it/He is divine.

It is best to remain open that the more difficult interpretation could be the actual one. The only other source we have for truth is the Holy Spirit after that. The bible is written under His influence, after all. There is also testimony...but no one believes that any more.

It isn't word plays...it's our foundational way of reading the bible. As you can see the effects of one small word is devastating. Thanks for the list! Christ coming to live in us is a miracle. But there is a new miracle awaiting they who seek the Lord for it...entering into Christ.

But the Greek language dates from at least a thousand years before Christ. We have linear a and linear b before that, although that could also been a form of Greek....Mycenean style.

My point is that a little word in like "in" or "on" can make all the difference in the world. Do you live in a house or on a house? The latter makes me think of Snoopy. Do we pour water on a cup or into a cup? The former makes me think that the cup has been turned over. The bible is all...

Yet both bolded words in the above verse are the Greek eis. So there is a problem in translation.

Non-believers sin against each other and know it...although do they sin against God and grievously...they don't believe they are. Believers at least at certain times also sin against God...but these are more responsible. We are held to a higher standard. So then iniquity is human pride masking...

Basically we are all from the same church...are we not?

Agreement as much as possible. Then we leave it to God who does the impossible...unity.

May I point out that heaven and hell are not related as comparisons. It is "heaven and earth" not heaven and hell. This is the proper distinctive. "On earth as it is in heaven"... As for judgments...hell, as in the lake of fire...is only one place of eternal judgment. There is much more to...

Of course...but the theme is ever present...some will have increase and others will have loss. That's a kingdom thing. How does one lose everything? In the judgment of fire. Mark 9:49 “For everyone will be seasoned with fire, and every sacrifice will be seasoned with salt."

Great post! Actually...how much of modern Christianity is just to sort out the good from the evil?...from the same dead tree. Religion does this. But true Christianity is to abandon both good and evil...to enter into life. The Pharisees saw others doing evil and judged them. But the good...
