Poll: Tattoo art - Christian perspectives: Fight it? Ignore it? appreciate/embrace it?

@Abaxvahl It's very much an individual thing and initiative. It's this kind of picture which forms a perfect response to those who might try to make out that esp. for women it's merely a 'modern' innovation.

    Encouraging verses

@jessiblue I do love how verses 57 - about the victory in the risen Christ - and verse 58, with its strong exhortation to labour faithfully - are linked in the passage! :)

Poll: Tattoo art - Christian perspectives: Fight it? Ignore it? appreciate/embrace it?

@soul man Like you said: @soul man While for young men and women coming of age, getting tattoos is so widely seen as an adulthood transitioning experience that they appreciate and expect, yet when Christian young ppl are truly considering faith based witness inkings, the desire to do it and...

@Wynona Reformed theologians tend to hold from Scripture (Ephesians 2, etc.) that regeneration precedes faith.

Poll: Tattoo art - Christian perspectives: Fight it? Ignore it? appreciate/embrace it?

@jessiblue The broader context of the 18 year old young lady today considering her first tattoo is the real possibility that her mother and even grandmother already have ink; and so when 18 year old Christians are choosing their faith based designs - whether something simple such as a Christian...

    Dispensational problems

@GodsGrace I think with prophecy in Scripture it's good to remember the Who? (1 Corinthians 10.32) as well as the When?

    Your favorite Psalm?

@Abaxvahl Indeed, Job could say: "I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food." (Job 23.12). The Lord Jesus Himself said: "Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth." (John 17.17)

Poll: Tattoo art - Christian perspectives: Fight it? Ignore it? appreciate/embrace it?

@Mantis Yes, well, for a first timer, a small one need not cost much; there is a parlor in Las Vegas that charges $10 for any of a series of template designs. But, yes, for a larger, custom design that is also going to be a cover up, it can get to be more expensive; you're right. All the young...

Poll: Tattoo art - Christian perspectives: Fight it? Ignore it? appreciate/embrace it?

@soul man Your quote - see previous post - seems to have become very thought-provoking! It would seem that for a lot of Christians it's partly about finding the confidence to do it in the first place. But once decided upon, as a means of conveying a message about a Scripture that is in the...
