    Circumcision of the heart

I hear you! When I quoted Deut. 30:6 to a Jewish friend of mine he thought I was quoting wrong since it was God doing the circumcising. In the OT we are told to circumcise our own hearts. Clearly this is not possible. But it shows that without this we are not fully in God's will. Perhaps had...

    Sinless Perfection?

And Jesus actually answered the thief!!!! ;) People nowadays read some verses and then assume they are righteous without God saying anything at all about it. That's exactly how the Pharisees justified themselves. We are to seek UNTIL WE FIND.... knock UNTIL GOD OPENS THE DOOR!!!! Without this...

    Righteousness

Hi D. It's more like this...some people say they will obey but then don't. Others don't say anything but then do! So is there only merit in saying we will do before we do? "The righteous are scarcely saved." 1Pe_4:18 And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the...

    Circumcision of the heart

Jer_9:26 Egypt, and Judah, and Edom, and the children of Ammon, and Moab, and all that are in the utmost corners, that dwell in the wilderness: for all these nations are uncircumcised, and all the house of Israel are uncircumcised in the heart. Circumcision of the heart is the result of the...

Why you cant lose your salvation.

Actually even admitting one does not see is having more righteousness than the Pharisees who wanted people to think they did see. Joh_9:41 Jesus said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should have no sin: but now ye say, We see; therefore your sin remaineth.

    Sinless Perfection?

You tell me! I'm not judging your motive. But this question usually carries an unbelief with it. Are you saying this in unbelief? Why do you care what I think? You know and God knows...that is enough. I am not adding or taking away anything here. If you agree with me that the question is...

    Sinless Perfection?

We all expect to walk in the fulness of Christ after we die. We all agree on this. It is just that some of us believe we can experience this life NOW through experiencing this death in Christ NOW. How else could Paul say that we (the believers) were dead to sin? How else could we carry the death...

    Jesus was wrong

I don't know how interchangeable the "joy of the Lord is our strength" is with " the happiness of the Lord is our strength". They are of course very related but the way we use the words also denotes how they come about. For instance we use "Happy is the man who" ....we say happy or blessed. So...

    Sinless Perfection?

This is not usually asked in a brotherly way.....but in a doubting way... 1. Would a brother who was walking without sin even notice that he is? 2. Who would believe even if he said he was? 3. The enemy likes to discourage faith in real brothers....anybody can throw stones. So we must keep to...

    Righteousness

Love those verses! I think too often we read the sermon on the mount as ...Blessed are the meek WHO ARE CHRISTIAN...thus putting a condition on the statement that was never meant to be there. Jesus is showing us what pleases the Father. :)

    Can You Be Righteous

Au contraire mon frere! We are declared righteous by doing righteousness. Grace is a means of doing. So we must not be only hearers but doers. Jesus said...He who hears my words and DOES them is like a man who built on a rock.

    Sinless Perfection?

You have uncovered my average-ness I fear. I see no duality of natures in one who is given a new heart.

    Jesus was wrong

It all depends on the heart. If the heart is easily attached to the things of this world then in God's mercy may He make the sweetness taste sour to us. It is akin to if your right eye causes you to sin...pluck it out!!! Amen Axe!

    The hidden things of God

Actually it is the same wedding but different participants...Go out into the highways and byways. Your error lies in the distinction you make between humans. God is the God of all flesh...there is only one Lord, one faith and one baptism (Spirit). So we are all One new man together in Christ...
