    It Is Written!

@Heart2Soul There's a wonderful unity in Scripture even as varied writings were given over hundreds of years: all centred ultimately in Christ. We do indeed need the Holy Spirit to understand it truly. (Oops, I see I already made a similar comment, but anyway this is true...)

    Dear Addy

@Addy Oh okay, you were just referring to @Truman's. I know that some ppl do find the cold gets into their bones, so to speak.

Poll: Tattoo art - Christian perspectives: Fight it? Ignore it? appreciate/embrace it?

PS: @Josho What did you make of the term 'Tattoo Therapy' in what you posted? a misnomer, perhaps?

    Dear Addy

@Addy Does your daughter suffer from migraines? @Truman who does suffer from them and I were discussing the help that daith piercings seem to provide; I uploaded some videos recently.

Poll: Tattoo art - Christian perspectives: Fight it? Ignore it? appreciate/embrace it?

@Josho Psalm 46.10, right? Thanks, Josho. Arm is a preferred placement among Christians for Bible text tattoos. All the young ppl with Bible texts tattooed (arm, upper arm/shoulder, or wrist) that I have talked to seem to have had them done for evangelistic reasons: potential visibility...

    What is Freedom?

@Ziggy Yes, well as a veteran smoking woman you with your metabolism have clearly come to accept - like you said earlier - the motions of regular inhales. It seems like in some ways you have found your level, so to speak. A young lady wanting to smoke and just starting may even cough her way...

    Dear Addy

@Addy Great you finished it! kind of a sense of achievement. I like to think of Bible reading also as building up a big picture, piece by piece, increment by increment. Good to be diligent...

    Dear Addy

Hi @Addy I think also your Psalm quote in your header gives an idea of how trust in the Lord brings a great sense of calm rooted in eternal realities.

Poll: Tattoo art - Christian perspectives: Fight it? Ignore it? appreciate/embrace it?

Hi @Ziggy True what you say about a design can express outwardly what's inwardly in the heart. You referred to a soft and small design that has a sense of cuteness. Some witness tattoos can also be very understated, soft and gentle. Some designs can likely bring an experience under the...

Poll: Tattoo art - Christian perspectives: Fight it? Ignore it? appreciate/embrace it?

@Ziggy, Like you perhaps imply, some ppl are always going to view tattoos in a negative light. There are some demographics that are today far more likely to view them in a positive light. Such as the nursing profession, for example. FYI: BluegrassRN said: ErikadawnRN said: grinnurse...

    What is Freedom?

@Ziggy It does help some ppl to relax. The great preacher Spurgeon smoked. (What this is supposed to prove about his ministry, I don't know. Actually, I do know: it proves nothing! :) ) Yes, I'm sure there is some truth to this.

@Truman the Levite Great Psalm there! :)

    What is Freedom?

@Ziggy You said that your mother before you smoked, right? It was just what ppl did. A while ago @Pearl said about her mom: If ppl can quit, good for them, I say. But I don't buy the moralizing, "not ladylike", etc., stuff.

@devin553344 Sorry to hear this. Does it hinder you driving a car?

    What is Freedom?

@Truman the Levite Customs come and go, but there are constants also. Before the American Civil War it was a widespread custom in some areas for women to smoke after church services. Then came the so called Progressive era when all sorts of customs arose (women supposedly shouldn't smoke...

Poll: Tattoo art - Christian perspectives: Fight it? Ignore it? appreciate/embrace it?

@soul man Thanks for the 'like'. There's truth in what you said: It's fair to say that some Christians are never going to like tattoos. Other Christians certainly feel that getting inked up with something faith based is a very wholesome and wholehearted means of expression. All the young...

    The Completed Gospel:

@soul man John 19.30: "It is finished". Hebrews 10.14: "For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified."

    Late Night Thread...

@Truman the Levite A lot of tattoo parlors also do piercings, if you're thinking about the daith for migraines; it's shouldn't be difficult to find out, anyway.
