A serious questions for the Jehovah's Witnesses on these threads.

As true as this may be, it is not a salvation issue, right?

A serious questions for the Jehovah's Witnesses on these threads.

Some time ago you listed some common myths believed in Christendom. I forget what they all were. However, what needs to be added is the myth that there is one lord and one god. (See thread REAL lowercase gods in Scripture) For Americans, we may have one President (note use of capitalization)...

Understanding Rev 12, The Woman & Dragon's Mouth

There is no relationship between his last words, which were personal, and the verses in Revelation under discussion, which is end times, as you know. Not sure why you are limiting ‘the woman’ to Mary rather than to spiritual Israel, as the NRSV Study Notes indicates. What exactly is your basis...

Only Two Times of Resurrection, Not Three

I suspect that is the source of the confusion.

If you believe these are the end times, why do you not also believe great apostacy has come?

I have no idea why you posted this in response to my question for you to share the details of God telling you the Anti-Christ is here in 1986. Perhaps, I came across as flippant with my "Woe." My apologies. Your post struck me as one of the most profound revelations of all-time. I thought you'd...

Understanding Rev 12, The Woman & Dragon's Mouth

Yes, there is no doubt that as a child of Israel, Mary gave birth to the Messiah. However, the verses are talking about more than merely merely and her progeny. While we are children of God, we are the bride of Christ. Nowhere in Scripture does it say anything like we are the children of Mary...

Understanding Rev 12, The Woman & Dragon's Mouth

One is biblical. The other is not.

Understanding Rev 12, The Woman & Dragon's Mouth

No, I'm not sure. Just passing on the NSRV Study Notes. The notion of "the woman" referring to Mary does not hold up to scrutiny because her children are long dead and the passage is prophetic. It talks about future persecution of the woman's children by the dragon. Plus, the chapter ends with...

Jesus was made Lord and Christ at His resurrection

Friend, this is the last time I will say it; You are getting caught up in the weeds. We all belong to the Christian faith; subscribe to Romans 10:9. Beyond that, denominational differences over other doctrinal matters are mute. Rom 14:1, 13; Jam 4:11-12. There are many threads here that delve...

Understanding Rev 12, The Woman & Dragon's Mouth

One thing that surprised me about the study note is that the battle with the serpent is said in the study note to begin with Christ's resurrection. I have not been able to reconcile that with the serpent being in the garden of Eden.

A serious questions for the Jehovah's Witnesses on these threads.

I've said it many times, thank God there is no doctrinal purity test. IMO, this thread has tested JW's and you've passed the test. You and the other JW's have expressed your doctrines - and the reasons for it well. Folks like @Ronald Nolette have fiercely argued a subjective standard, akin to...

A serious questions for the Jehovah's Witnesses on these threads.

While I think JW are wrong about the physical resurrection, I don't think being wrong about it means you area not Christians.

Understanding Rev 12, The Woman & Dragon's Mouth

Revelation 12:13-17 NRSV The Dragon Fights Again on Earth 13 So when the dragon saw that he had been thrown down to the earth, he pursued[a] the woman who had delivered the male child. 14 But the woman was given the two wings of the great eagle, so that she could fly from the serpent into the...

Why belief in a god is an unfalsifiable claim that serves no purpose

I suspect you post such things for the shock value. Education was developed and carried out in Western Civilization by Christians. We are not opposed to education but the biggest proponents in history of education. Tolerance is not a Christian virtue. And I take the claim of religious...

    You Probably Believe This Lie

I drowing man can be saved only to find himself drowning again after making a series of choices after being saved the first time. Linear (not circular).

    You Probably Believe This Lie

While I agree with this outside the OSAS foolishness, if how you apply it were true, Christ would not say not all who call on him will be saved. Obvioulsy, there is a nuance that OSAS crowd does not want to acknowledge.

Only Two Times of Resurrection, Not Three

Hmmm. There are numerous stories of resurrections in Scripture. I think it was Elijah or Elisha who raised someone from the dead. God raised the prophet Jeremiah. And of course, Jesus raised Lazarus. Obviously, none of these examples require the sacrifice of Christ. However, I think the focus...

    You Probably Believe This Lie

LOL. Sure the verse is about losing salvation. It just goes to show an intelligent mind can rationalize anything. Same question to you. What is the rejection criteria of the OSAS? What set of words would disprove it?
