Are Christians to forgive everyone or only those who repent?

Love is a choice by principle. Feelings are engaged at a later stage to the principle. The connection or marriage between principle and feeling needs to be understood otherwise our heart is disconnected from our head. Principle rules.....'father forgive them' he said at the critical...

Are Christians to forgive everyone or only those who repent?

Forgiveness comes with love. It is the natural outflowing of a generous principle. If one does not choose to forgive one has not seen the great love God has for them. If one chooses to justify their lack of love for their neighbour all the pious words are clanging brass and tinkling cymbals.

In an odd dither this morning

I've done a bit of sailing solo across oceans. Rough weather and once a shipwreck that took two months to see the shores of home. God has ways of opening our eyes that we would never wish yet in hindsight, never regret.

In an odd dither this morning

Self honesty is the first cab off the rank. Without it I can't be honest with others and I certainly won't be honest with God. The Publican in Jesus story was self honest and we know what Jesus concluded.

In an odd dither this morning

I have realised if I were to see God's love in its entirety I would be a blithering mess of tears. I also have seen if I were to see the extent and real nature of my shortcomings I would also be a blithering mess. God in his mercy reveals both in packages as I am able to process and my ability...

Paper Money and Fiat Currency is the Mark of the Beast

the issue trading is not man's means of exchange but God's. 'The mark' has nothing to do with money irrespective of whether it is fiat or genuine. The battle is to do with allegiance. Unless those dots are joined man's wisdom will spawn theories infinitum and miss the mark.

    Benefits Of Wisdom

ahhhh, Wisdom, she calls out at the head of every street.....she is justified by all her children. She recognises the vain and foolish attempts of men in their wisdom to represent God with their many words and theories.

    I feel bad

G'day J.... we all want to feel good all the time, I'm sure that's what drives many addictions. The only way I can keep equilibrium is to stay connected to Jesus. He gives me the strength to persevere and to be honest with myself. Dealing with difficulties of all sorts never leaves us while we...

The Doctrine of Purgatory in Catholic Biblical Perspective

The scripture is clear 'the dead know nothing' The persistence of trying to splice pagan beliefs into Gods revealed word only fools the fooled.

Is the nation of Israel really of the devil, fooling Christians?

I was addressing the original post Enoch. I should have made that clear :)

Is the nation of Israel really of the devil, fooling Christians?

Even a cursory look at the disposition of Israel as a political nation screams that they are opposed to Jesus as the fulfilment of their scriptures. This is clearly evident in the New Testament records of how the ruling parties hounded the apostles. It is also evident in history. The fact that...

The law that "was added because of transgressions" cannot be referring to the commandments.

The Law has always been in existence just not in its written form. It was added (in a written form) to make sin exceedingly sinful.....a visual bouncing board if you like.

Are Christians now going to be seen as threats to the nation?

I ask the questions in all seriousness.

Are Christians now going to be seen as threats to the nation?

Consider this BJ......why would Jesus tell us to love our enemies and then tell us to buy swords? I'm sure it wasn't for cutting bread....was it for cutting something else? Could it be that we have misunderstood Jesus's intention?

How Is The Greatest Commandment Kept?

hypocrisy is the stench that Jesus railed at.

Are Christians now going to be seen as threats to the nation?

The struggle for supremacy for Satan is not against the world. They are his regardless. Jesus he can't touch but those who represent him are still on his turf. It is to these that his energies are bent to destroy so he can have unopposed rule over the world. Oppression is his M.O. ....A...

How Is The Greatest Commandment Kept?

How does one eat food....you put it in your mouth, chew and swallow it. Is a dissertation needed? How is the greatest commandment kept? I'm sorry, if this is not understood by those claiming Jesus as their Lord then perhaps their lord is not the risen Jesus.
