@TLHKAJ I reckon this daughter's tattoo is in a sense really saying wordlessly: "I am here waiting for you". A lot of profound feeling must have gone into her tattoo parlor visit for it.

@TLHKAJ Yes, I'm sure that your daughter had her exact motivations, which do differ from person to person, indeed. And yes, wedding gowns are often - typically - off the shoulder so in such gowns existing ink might be more visible that isn't necessarily visible when other garments are worn...

I do indeed believe that there is a lot of Scripture evidence for eternal security of the true believer. Of course there are a lot of ppl about who are not true believers, but think they are.

All I can think is that he cannot originally have been so rooted in Scripture as to have been incapable in the end of being influenced more by ritual and aesthetics and tradition.

@April_Rose Yes it is! my wife and I talked to a young lady with the whole of John 3.16 tattooed on her wrist area; it was her favorite Bible verse and mine also; and I'm sure other conversations have arisen as a result of her willingness to use a tattoo parlor for this purpose.
