That was the topic of today's sermon. :) 1st, God has no needs. The reason for the delay in the 2nd Coming is found in 2 Peter 3:8-13. God wants all to be saved and is patient, perhaps waiting on us to reach out to the last sheep of the harvest.

    Satan was right? Egads!

My apologies Keiw. I wrote God but meant to write Jesus. I corrected my error. Sorry for the mistake.

What is the purpose of evil? I thought about this a lot in 2020. Reading the CEV translation of Psalm 82 really opened my eyes. Ps 82 goes back to Original Sin and the fall of Lucifer. The purpose of evil is to displace God. I could not get Ps 82:1 out of my mind for months! When all the...

    Satan was right? Egads!

Jesus used that as his defense in calling himself son of God. Why is it taking it too far.? See Ps 82, particularly v6.

    Satan was right? Egads!

The Bible says over and over and over again that Jesus is a man. Jesus calls himself a man. Both are titles. There is only one god, using a capital letter for this species of life is still just a species categorization, like Cat compared to cat. The name of the one god is YHWH. The Son of...

The Insanity of the "right" to have guns!

Liberty is based in truth, not subterfuge. Such secondary purposes for private ownership do not replace the primary purpose, which distinguishes a subject from a citizen. Subjects fear their government. In a republic, God-given rights are recognized - such as the right to life and liberty and...

The Insanity of the "right" to have guns!

I heard the newest Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson said it means that we have the Constitutional right to roll up our sleeves. I guess those crazy gun nuts have been distorting what it means all along. :p

Analysis of Mass Murder of Children

And I won't. I'm sure your search engine works as well as mine. You don't have eyes to see. That is why providing evidence to you will not be fruitful. You have a closed mind on the subject and no evidence will be acceptable to you. I've already answered that question. See post #15.

Analysis of Mass Murder of Children

There’s plenty of evidence. The psychology is very different from passively watching violence, especially in a TV show or in a movie for exposure is fairly limited compared to actively simulating violent actions for hours and hours, practically every free moment every day for years.

The Insanity of the "right" to have guns!

Fortunately for you, in America, you are entitled to your opinion - wrong though it may be. I've said for decades, I'll be happy to give up guns - once all the nations of the world's military and police give up their guns and there are no more violent crimes. Otherwise, what's crazy is to give...

The Insanity of the "right" to have guns!

It's just crazy that you say stuff like that. We ought to make you go through an approval process to exercise independent choices you want to make.

The Insanity of the "right" to have guns!

LOL. The 2A is a fact that you cannot stomach. I see that you are from the UK. Not sure why you are bothering with us backwater rebels anyway. Having said that, have you read The Rise and Fall of the British Empire by Lawrence James? It is excellent. The world is better off because of the...

    Irrelevant. Just saying.

God was manifest in the flesh

Great analysis, as always tigger! The simple answer is trinitarians today have to butcher Scripture, definitions, logic and normal language usage to 'support' their inherently contradictory doctrine. A plain reading of Deut 18:15-18 explains the prophecy that Jesus fulfilled. God's word was...

The Insanity of the "right" to have guns!

It's the only Jesus. Jesus’ own explicit statements is that he has a God (John 20:17), and Jesus’ God is the only true God (John 17:3). There simply is no verse that reads something like The nature of God is a trinity - consisting of the Father, Son & Holy Spirit who are co-equal...

For those who think Jesus is God - Why is that important?

Scripture please. Nowhere is the trinitarian doctrine in Scripture. To avoid the inevitable Appeal to Strawman, there simply is no verse that reads something like The nature of God is a trinity - consisting of the Father, Son & Holy Spirit who are co-equal, co-substantial and co-eternal - and if...

    A Curious Question For Non-Trinitarians

Oy vey! There is no such thing as a paraphrase translation. No translation is truly literal because of syntax differences in the different languages. Some translate words and for my money, the better translations translate thoughts of whole sentences and paragraphs for more accuracy and...

NO. Jesus is explicitly said to me, as we are, the sons of God.

Yea, better to keep having school shootings and kids murdered than arming the responsible adults with the children.
