Moses And Elijah With Jesus ???

This and angels comforting Jesus in the desert are 2 things that undermine the claim that Jesus was 100% man. Hardly ever do prophets and angels appear when I pray. YMMV.

Who is Jesus to a Non-Trinitarian?

You are not required to post in threads that don't interest you.

Who is Jesus to a Non-Trinitarian?

Nowhere is this in Scripture. On the contrary, Jesus said he has a God who is the only true God. Given that Jesus did not teach the trinity, why do you?

To say this, you must not understand math.

My Life Was Just a Loaf of Bread

I totally relate! What you need is to shift from being a taste tester to embrace a purpose driven life. We all need this. I feel I mostly lost that after I raised my family and got divorced. I started a thread yesterday about being at the nadir after being at the mountain top. I'm afraid forum...

The Insanity of the "right" to have guns!

Agreed. There are a number of divisive posts on this Memorial Day. I wish Jesus were here already. In the meantime, I pray for God's children everyday - even those that curse me.

Who is Jesus to a Non-Trinitarian?

Re-read the OP. He explained it well. My 1st post (Post #10) in this thread explained fairly well also. I know Jesus is mortal. It is a historical fact that he died. This is how we know he is not God, who is immortal. See the difference?

Who is Jesus to a Non-Trinitarian?

I too have asked this question many times, most recently to 2 pastors in writing. The answers were disappointing to say the least, both saying Scripture is 'clear' followed by the usual vague verses that are nothing like The nature of God is a trinity - consisting of the Father, Son & Holy...

Nadir After the Zenith, Bottom of Valley After Being Mtn Top

10 years after beating Muhammad Ali, Leon Spinks was homeless. In honor of the Obi Kenobi series starting this weekend, 10 years after beating Vader at Mustafar, Ben was doing menial work eking out a living, sleeping in a cave as a hermit. He was a broken, shell of a man, unable to reach out to...

Should members need to disclose their denomination?

Never is the title "Christian" meaningless. Perhaps less precise than <denomination> but as another pointed out, that may not fully reflect an individual's beliefs. I too like the idea of declaring denomination but for different reasons. I thought forums dedicated to denominational focus would...

Should members need to disclose their denomination?

Worst possible approach. Anti-Scriptural. I am a Biblical unitarian attending a non-denominational church (that formerly was Methodist). For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. 2 Cor 3:17

Who is Jesus to a Non-Trinitarian?

Trinitarians have a + dogma. While they agree with everything above, they assert he is also his own Father, who alone is God.

Who is Jesus to a Non-Trinitarian?

So many golden nuggets in a few sentences! :) 1st, The absurdity of pretending John 1's logos is God is the quicksand of trinitarianism. But then again, they have no real Scriptural support, so they are forced to desperate reaches. They falsely suppose our all powerful Creator is unable to...

    A Curious Question For Non-Trinitarians

It's so silly to say a man named Jesus is named Immanuel. Beyond that, obviously, "God with us" does not literally mean the person called Immanuel is God incarnate unless all Immanuel's are also God incarnate. The trinitarian house of cards tumbles so easily.

    A Curious Question For Non-Trinitarians

Agreed. The other day I was lead to read where God told Moses the 2 miracles he taught him would convince Pharaoh that Moses was sent by God. But the very next verse God says, in case that does not work, pour water out to make blood out of the rivers. Ex 4.

Not in Scripture. See Mark 7:13.

    A Curious Question For Non-Trinitarians

Ov vey. The person of Jesus died, which is a mighty big change. Trinitarians make too much of Deut 18:15-18, as all prophets speak God's words. God himself is able to speak for himself and does not require prophets, like Jesus, to speak on his behalf. Obviously, this word comment is a...
