@TLHKAJ Great verses there! and I do indeed think and know that the inward and spiritual always should supersede the outward. I do agree with everything you said. At an individual level it is something that is done widely by Christians and many would probably testify it can be a deeply joyful...

@TLHKAJ A very honest post; I do think Psalm 46 is a great background psalm for believers with traumatic experiences. Goes to show also the great importance of prayer as you will have proved.

@soul man Indeed, by faith appropriating the message of the cross - to the point of the death at which the Lord Jesus was obedient (Philippians 2) is the turning point for so many a life.

@Mayflower I can understand ppl for whom if drink has been part of family life not wanting ever to touch alcohol. Keep praying; I'm sure you do.
