@soul man We are not in 'sundry times and in divers manners' now, but rather in these 'last days' (Hebrews 1), having been spoken to by God in His beloved Son, fully revealed in the NT.

@soul man It all goes back really to the nature of revelation. The OT has so many promises; then those promises are revealed in Christ in the NT; and so the stage of revelation moved on. It would be odd if God's dealings with mankind stayed on the basis of a partial, previous order of things...
