The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

What? So you don't love your wife, and just stay faithful to not get divorced?

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

Did you know that the Great Tribulation could start in as little as 2 years? Are you going to be alive then? What if you will be required to denounce Christ in order to live? Or will you choose to be beheaded in order to save your eternal life? Yes, however, only His true sheep will be saved...

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

You believe salvation is from day one, when Jesus said IF you endure to the end, ye shall be saved. When you run a race, do you receive your prize at the beginning of the race, or at the end. I've heard of a number of reasons why true believers in Christ, turn their back on Him, due to God not...

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

It is not in my born again nature to do anything else. Why would you think it is a struggle? Do you sin because you are not under law but under what you believe to be grace? Jesus said, "If you love Me, keep My commandments." Do you love Jesus? I do.

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

I know I will because it is His power in me that keeps the commandments through me. And to prove His word is true, like the verse says, in 21-22 "21 Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence toward God. 22 And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His...

In other words, do I believe in OSAS? No. There are too many warnings from all the apostles to fall for that one. I believe in constantly abiding in Christ and He in me by keeping His commandments through His power of grace that strengthens me. 1 John 3:21-24

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

Seeing someone in need, and wanting to help is not for our benefit (maintain salvation) by out of love for our neighbor. Is that concept too hard to comprehend? Must good works be perverted? The works the Galatians were doing was against their nature. Who wants a knife to their flesh in...

    Saved Or Predestined ???

It appears here that you believe that grace is the get-out-of-jail-free card of Monopoly. That is part of the false teaching that the Church came up with while resisting the Truth of freedom from sin - not just punishment. You quote it quite well. :( Grace is not unmerited favor, it is the...

    Saved Or Predestined ???

Yes, Jesus was sinless on earth. But you are wrong in your assumption that we can't be. Don't you know it is why He died for us? To take away our sin nature and give us freedom from sin through the infilling of His Spirit? Jesus was only the FIRST man to be sinless on earth. Romans 8:29 29 For...

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

cc: @Eternally Grateful The way I see works is, before repenting and receiving Christ's Holy Spirit (Acts 2:38), man tried by his own sinful nature to do good and keep the Old Testament commandments. The law failed because of the weakness of the nature of man. So any good works to be good...

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

In reading your post, I thought you had a typo in 1 John 2:5 when you said, "love for God." I remember it to be love of God. So I looked up that verse in many translations and most are of God, but a couple are for God. And one amplified version said love of and for God. LOL

    Saved Or Predestined ???

Exactly! Jesus abides in us, and we in Him. The Old Testament provided laws because of the rampant sins and transgressions, but they had to be kept by the weak sin-ridden nature of the Jews/mankind. The New Covenant is the Spirit abiding in us, eradicating the sin in us, so that we can partake...

I thought you wanted to know how to protect your own children. That's what you should do. But, of course, call the authorities to help those in the process of being taken. Willie, are you sure you are a member of a Vineyard Fellowship?

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

I asked you what you see as the difference? Here are the literal translations. We have known that every one who hath been begotten of God doth not sin, but he who was begotten of God doth keep himself, and the evil one doth not touch him; every one who hath been begotten of God, sin he doth...

    Saved Or Predestined ???

That is a 500 year old myth. God sees us. What is that myth based on anyway? Does it say somewhere that the blood of Jesus covers us and the sins we commit are hidden from the Father? I've never seen anything like that. Only in the old testatment did the blood of bulls and goats only cover our...

    Sex Trafficking

Just thinking about this, if we have been given the authority to heal in the name of Jesus, we should be also able to, as they say, "plead the blood" and "put a hedge of protection" on and around our children. That should be a daily habit.
