@Heart2Soul We are so privileged to have more Scripture revelation (in the NT) than David did, yet he grasped spiritual realities so deeply, it seems.

Parallels might be seen, but to prescribe for the church what belonged strictly to Israelite Levites would seem to be going beyond the sort of Bible interpretation that a lot of dispensationalists would do.

...but it does not create Levites, who were the context of tithing in the OT...

Concentrate on the inward and doctrinal... Ephsians 3 speaks of the inner rather than the outward perspective to be cultivated spiritually.

Oh, plenty of profit in reading Malachi....but (as a dispensationalist I would ask) are we now Israel, governed by Levites, to whom the obligatory tithes were to be given?

'It was...' But 'It is...?' :rolleyes: (Multiplying words is fruitless, I know, but I'm baffled...Like I said, up here now anyone from preachers' daughters to venerable dames in conservative churches might happen to have them...)

The Lord Jesus is completely sinless; there is plenty of Scripture for that. (John 14.30).

There needs to be care taken about the dividing line between when you hear helpful, friendly advice and when you receive interference and intrusion with these sorts of issues.

I guess that the young lady with whom my wife and talked would say that, just because some tattoos somewhere are gross, does not mean that ipso facto all tattoos everywhere are the same: especially if the Scripture based inking was received with witness opportunities in mind. She seemed shy...

Malachi - a precious Minor Prophetical book that I often appreciate reading - has in its context a faithful remnant of Israel, not the New Testament church dating from post-Pentecost.
