Y do U believe what U believe, and do U have good reasons 4 those beliefs? - let's find out.

I agree. Before I was filled with the Spirit I had no power over sin, and not one of my prayers were answered for 30 years. But after being filled with the Spirit, I had no desire for sin, and started truly abiding in Him, and all my prayers have been answered for over 40 years. 1 John 3:21-24...

Y do U believe what U believe, and do U have good reasons 4 those beliefs? - let's find out.

Actually, I live 2000 miles away from my congregation, and 1200 miles from another before I moved again to Tennessee. As a single older woman in a sea of couples, I am isolated. For the "Bible Belt" full of churches, this is a wilderness, and dry as the desert. But I am where God has directed me...

Should the books of the bible been more like 77?

There is only one meaning to every verse in the Bible. If you come across something that seems to contradict, you must first look at the context of each verse, first in the chapter or even the whole book. And that must not contradict other books. If your heart and spirit is set to desire only...

I don't have all Truth yet as I keep learning, with an open mind and spirit. I may yet come to agree with you, or you me. Though I have doubts you are open enough to let go of false doctrines and hear His voice.

Acts 15? Yes, of course. It is inspired Scripture. I consider myself of the church age of Philadelphia, and I pray I'm right! Most of the Church is of Thyatira or Sardis. Those are definitely denominations.

Should the books of the bible been more like 77?

Someone can hold to a false doctrine and still have the Spirit of Truth, and as long as you obey the Spirit He will continue to bring you into all truth, discarding the chaff along the way. I just share what He has taught me. And some who have already gotten that truth before me will relate...

Should the books of the bible been more like 77?

I have the Spirit of Truth in me, but am not here to convince you, as you need the Spirit to do that.

I'll stick my 2 cents in... Those are core issues in every denomination and held tightly by all.

Y do U believe what U believe, and do U have good reasons 4 those beliefs? - let's find out.

I grew up in a very legalistic denomination based on the OT Law until I was 23. Then I had an all night marathon talk/debate with someone until 4 am, until it was like a light went on spiritually. Then I changed from the very legalistic denomination on the Law to a different very legalistic...

I'm smart enough to not mistake myths for facts. You assume too much.

What I'm saying is you can't compare apples and oranges and say they are the same.

Yes, not all unsaved people say they haven't sinned. But the Gnostics did who John is referring to in 1 John 4:1-3. The context of the first chapter is the whole book.

    I don't either, and 1 John 1:8 doesn't contradict 1 John 3:9, because one is a Christian, and the other isn't yet.

8, and 10 are deceived people, because all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God and need Jesus to take away their sin, and in Him there is no sin, so Christians cannot walk in darkness, so 6 is not about a Christian either.

Just curious. Then it is you I don't agree with.

Should the books of the bible been more like 77?

The making of the canon were the writers of the canon. They were Spirit-filled. Their books have life and are spiritually discerned. I will repeat again, that I accept all the books presently in the New Testament, but am not misguided enough to trust those, as if they are God, who rejected the...

Should the books of the bible been more like 77?

Those who are filled with the Spirit can hear God's voice and are endued with power. There are also tests of who is abiding in Christ. They keep the commandments of God and God answers their prayers. Before I was filled with the Spirit not one of my prayers were answered. But since 1977 all my...

So you will accept that Clement's writings could have been canonical, but not Barnabas? At least, Barnabas was from the first century.

Should the books of the bible been more like 77?

The early Church believed it was by the apostle Barnabas. A couple hundred years later when the Church became worldly, inviting paganism to mix with it, they quenched the Spirit. So, no, I don't take for granted what others do. But some people go throughout their whole lives being led by the...

Should the books of the bible been more like 77?

Because you have to have the Spirit to listen to Him. I believe the Church was too worldly for centuries to get anything right in the eyes of God.
