Is it a sin to use contraception?

So you would also even call hormonal contraception abortion?

Is it a sin to use contraception?

Can it even really be called abortion when it is unknown whether the wife is pregnant or not? even if the contraceptive use is in that sense deliberate?

@Rita I hear the Queen just made a speech; I didn't get to listen to it.

Is it a sin to use contraception?

Most Protestants would in one way or another agree with what you say, mainly. In any case, it would be very out of place for a local church to try to enforce something supposedly called "policy" about condom use among married couples; using them or not is a personal matter for the couple to...

THE CHURCH DID NOT START AT PENTECOST

Acts and Paul would seem strongly to indicate otherwise, with the middle wall of partition having been done away with, between Jew and Gentile in the church, and with the Gospel's scope going from Jerusalem, then Samaria, then the uttermost parts of the earth.

THE CHURCH DID NOT START AT PENTECOST

The church started at Pentecost, Acts 2. In Psalm 51.11, David prayed, 'Take not thy holy spirit from me. This is something that born again members of the church - synonymously - do not need to pray; because at Pentecost the Spirit came to indwell.

Is it a sin to use contraception?

Anyway, a lot of Protestants wouldn't disagree with contraception, e.g., condoms, between married couples.

Is it a sin to use contraception?

By anti-elective abortions do you refer to when the mother's life is in danger or some other aspect?

Is it a sin to use contraception?

It's hard to go to the Old Testament alone for trying to find arguments against subjects such as condoms, frankly.

Poll: Does the mainstreaming of tattoos open up increasing opportunities for faith ink witness?

@Rita PS: Your youngest might in the end be content with ear piercings; in case you weren't aware, for so many guys now who intend eventually to get tattooed they usually or at any rate often get some piercing, e.g., ears, first of all (if at all); and sometimes having gotten them, don't in the...

    HILLSONG

@Rita Very interesting; I'm probably not familiar with the names of the songs, but if I heard some I might recognize some, anyway.

What Genre of Christian Music Do You Enjoy?

@Rita So you're probably a lady into soft rock, if not quite into hard rock; there can be some really good Christian lyrics to both soft rock (and in my humble opinion, hard rock can work, too).

The Nature Of God Is Revealed

The Lord Jesus is of course uniquely sinless but yes humility is linked with repentance, in His believing, pilgrim ppl.

    HILLSONG

PS: @Rita I see it's apparently different from Gaither.

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

I guess that to regard salvation as so light a matter in the first place can shows examples of easy believism, so called. Whereas a work of grace, if genuine, is permanent, indeed.

Is it a sin to use contraception?

Sometimes abbreviations can be hard to remember; and abbreviations can also be a bit euphemistic. But useful, of course.
