Actions have consequences. That resonates with me.

An unbelieving Jewish soldier intentionally broke a statue of Jesus. The Christian community worldwide was, for the most part, upset by the incident and outspoken in its criticism. Yes. No. Do you think God told the unbelieving Jewish soldier to destroy the statue?

Do you approve of the unbelieving Jew smashing the statue? Do you think his punishment by the Israeli military is unjustified? Would you endorse a believers crusade to destroy all such statues, wherever they exist in the world / churches / private homes?

I finished reading the book. I wasn’t so much interested in Bonhoeffer - though the story of his life is interesting - as I was about the Nazi attempt to excise Jewishness from Christianity. This was a good read.

I’m currently reading The Man in the High Castle, written by Philip K. Dick.

I haven’t read any of the books the professor is recommending to her audience. Yet. (I’m adding them to my “Wish List”.)
