Poll: Does the mainstreaming of tattoos open up increasing opportunities for faith ink witness?

@Angelina You just mentioned your older sister (in the 70s, etc.); she probably grew up at a time when it wasn't as widespread for women to get tattooed; whereas things were changing when you grew up; I guess we are all creatures of our own times in a manner of speaking.

What Genre of Christian Music Do You Enjoy?

@Angelina Oh then she would maybe remember the New Seekers in the 70s; the Seekers were in the 60s.

Does the Holy Spirit prevent wicked from being revealed¿

I'm saying the opposite to what you surmise here: The tribulation principle is in John 16.33; the Matthew 24 event is unique.

Poll: Does the mainstreaming of tattoos open up increasing opportunities for faith ink witness?

@Angelina PS: I reckon that in any case, since the time you yourself were inked, it's become more widespread than previously, and it's become something that Christians have been more willing to take opportunities for with faith based one that may give God the glory, than previously. This is...

What Genre of Christian Music Do You Enjoy?

@Angelina It's a good way to learn Scripture. I think it's always good to remember that all Scripture is for us (for our learning, etc.); although all Scripture is not about us (dispensationally, etc.).

    Pagan Holidays

The issue is not to moralize against ppl who do differently; the true issue is to respect and follow Romans 14.5: "One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind."

    Pagan Holidays

The issue -according to Romans 14 - is not the "correct" date; it's understanding by faith the sheer wonder and doctrinal importance of the Incarnation of the Lord Jesus Christ. John 1.14; 1 Timothy 3.16.

Poll: Does the mainstreaming of tattoos open up increasing opportunities for faith ink witness?

@Nancy Well, I guess that henna ( like @Rita was asking about) kind of proves quite strongly that tattooing in one form or another is indeed very much a woman's thing to do if desired - in the past some ppl might have tried to argue that it wasn't quite ladylike to get tattooed - since I...

Does the Holy Spirit prevent wicked from being revealed¿

I do see the great tribulation - a truly unique event, as Matt. 24 says - as distinct from the tribulation principle of John 16.33.

Poll: Does the mainstreaming of tattoos open up increasing opportunities for faith ink witness?

@Heart2Soul Yes, it is, isn't it? And for young Christians now from 18 onward, it seems to be a way of 'nailing their colours to the mast', so to speak. ("I'm going to do it!") Young women as well as young men.

Does the Holy Spirit prevent wicked from being revealed¿

For the context of the church rather than Israel, it's very strong, 1 Cor 11.26... :)

@Heart2Soul Well, a lot of ppl now think so, too, don't they?

    Disinfectant...

Around 50 years ago Great Britain had Harold Wilson as Prime Minister and also Edward Heath. Mr Wilson was a jokey, personable, cheeky chappie. This was his personal style. Mr. Heath seemed to represent the deep freeze. (This was his.)
