@Angelina It's a good way to learn Scripture. I think it's always good to remember that all Scripture is for us (for our learning, etc.); although all Scripture is not about us (dispensationally, etc.).

The issue is not to moralize against ppl who do differently; the true issue is to respect and follow Romans 14.5: "One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind."

The issue -according to Romans 14 - is not the "correct" date; it's understanding by faith the sheer wonder and doctrinal importance of the Incarnation of the Lord Jesus Christ. John 1.14; 1 Timothy 3.16.

I do see the great tribulation - a truly unique event, as Matt. 24 says - as distinct from the tribulation principle of John 16.33.

@Heart2Soul Yes, it is, isn't it? And for young Christians now from 18 onward, it seems to be a way of 'nailing their colours to the mast', so to speak. ("I'm going to do it!") Young women as well as young men.

For the context of the church rather than Israel, it's very strong, 1 Cor 11.26... :)
