Interesting comment! especially bearing in mind the references to light in John chapter 1. The primacy of the spiritual is certainly a very good framework to remember in the interpretation of Scripture.

@John Caldwell PS: You recently mentioned Mrs. Caldwell; so would she ever have gotten inked like her husband, or contemplated it? It used to be very much a man thing years ago; although now to an overwhelming extent it's also become a very womanly thing to do, I guess.
