But assurance of faith (as in John's First Epistle) and eternal security (as in Romans 8) are thoroughly part of what John and Paul teach in the New Testament, and consistent with what the Lord Jesus taught in the Gospels.

Good passage there in Ephesians 4. In that chapter Paul emphasizes truth and doctrine. Which tells us that any spiritual unity needs to have a foundation there.

Romans 8 is a wonderful chapter which includes assuring words about the intercession of the Lord Jesus for the believer.

The truth of the mercy seat is very searching, right? One can see how ppl who want wing tattoos may sometimes be influenced by Scriptural imagery.

@Heart2Soul Re. your comment about God the Father, Romans 8 speaks about those who try 'Abba, Father', by the Spirit of Christ in them, indwelling since the new birth. (It's a wonderful chapter!)

Truth and doctrine enjoyed and the cause of encouragement: this is part of the message of Ephesians 4, right? :)

Hardly unusual today; in fact a lot of Christians seem to like the idea of a faith based design; time and time again which has been proven effective in witness. Quite a while ago I got an oriental type design on my arm which faded; wasn't a success. Other ppl's seem to have been more successful.

"It is finished" (John 19.30) is such an important truth, right? The truth of the one offering in Hebrews chapters 9 & 10 is so important, right?
