    You acknowledged that the God of Jesus is only one person, the Father. That is the creed of Judaism. Can you acknowledge that the theology of people whose God is only one person, the Father, is unitarian? Only for trinitarian people.

    As anyone who knows me would tell you, I’m not big on speculation. I know, as do trinitarian scholars, that there is also a Hebrew concept of logos. It is the Hellenistic concept that sent the church away from the monotheism of John, the other apotsles, and Jesus.

    I don’t understand what you’re saying. All of the Hebrew Bible points to Jesus of Nazareth as the Messiah promised by the God of Israel.

    My apologies. I thought you knew more about trinitarian doctrine than you do. You rightly said that the God of Jesus is only one person, the Father. Do you understand that a person whose God is only the Father is a unitarian?

    Jesus isn’t a human person in trinitarian theology. You seem to be aware of that fact. In my experience, roughly 80% of trinitarians aren’t aware of it.

    That’s right. Jesus is a Jewish monotheist, not a trinitarian. It’s the same monotheism that the apostles have.

    Surely. The monotheism of Jesus and the apostles is precisely the same. He’s a non-trinitarian staff member. I’ve been in conversation with him in this thread and in the thread which I provided the link for.

    Yes. Christian monotheism in the 1st century was the monotheism of Jesus. @JLB is a sincere Christian. Do you identify with him?

    John knew perfectly well what “word” meant. He was drawing on his background in the Hebrew Bible. The trinitarian translators recognized that.

    Yes. These are Jewish monotheists who believe - against unbelieving Jewish monotheists - that Jesus of Nazareth is the Messiah, Son of the living God. I identify with believing Israel.
