Can a christian be a buddhist?

It’s so simple that five pages wouldn’t have been enough.

Can a christian be a buddhist?

Yes, but he or she would have to convert. Such a person wouldn’t remain a Buddhist.

Jesus is the Son of his God

I’ve given him ample opportunity to say in this thread whether or not he believes Jesus was a Jew. I’ve discussed it with him before. It would be for your benefit if he does in this thread, not mine.

Jesus is the Son of his God

The Son of God, Jesus of Nazareth, is a Jew. His God and Father is not a Jew.

Jesus is the Son of his God

He does if he wants me or anyone else (besides you?) to believe that he believes “Jesus was not a Jew.”

Jesus is the Son of his God

Dagon was above the others. Dagon was their supreme deity.

Jesus is the Son of his God

It’s called discernment. I’m willing to say that @ScottA agrees with you that “Jesus was not a Jew”. For that to happen, all he has to do is speak up and say that he too believes “Jesus was not a Jew.”
  9. Matthias

Jesus is the Son of his God

    No. Their deity is Dagon.

Jesus is the Son of his God

In fact, it is for me to say. I said it before and I’ll say it again-> the God of Jewish monotheism hasn’t sent you. You swallowed your tongue on “Jesus was not a Jew.” I didn’t.

Jesus is the Son of his God

Everyone has a theology. You’re not an exception. I was just told (in post #30) “Jesus was not a Jew.“ Jesus absolutely was a Jew. He has a theology and, as you know, I’ve documented what his theology is. ”Jesus was not a Jew” is a theology.

Jesus is the Son of his God

Who is the deity of the Philistines? I’m a primitive Christian; a 1st century Jewish monotheist living in the 21st century who believes that Jesus of Nazareth is the Messiah, Son of the living God. I have talked with Jews. I agree. Jesus of Nazareth is a Jew. Anyone who says otherwise is...

Jesus is the Son of his God

We’ve been all through this before. If others believe you don’t have a theology, they’re welcome to say so. If others believe you have a theology, they’re welcome to say so.

Jesus is the Son of his God

You’re not aware of paganism? I would know. I’m a Jewish monotheist. Then your broad comment about Jewish monotheists not believing that Jesus is the Messiah is inexplicable. I’ve personally met with representatives of both groups.

Jesus is the Son of his God

Not always. In the case of @ScottA it is. You might not agree but I have said that trinitarians are also monotheists. In Jewish monotheism the God of Israel is only one person, the Father alone. That’s demonstrably untrue. Virtually all of the early disciples of Jesus were Jewish...

Jesus is the Son of his God

I’m not surprised. That’s your non-trinitarian theology (which is incompatible with the Messiah’s Jewish monotheism). I would explain it to them if they asked me about it; just as I would if they asked me about trinitarian theology.
