No one has seen God at any time, John?

See what you said in post #126 and #133. Represent it as you wish to.

No one has seen God at any time, John?

It already has. Now what you said to me about the trinitarians is being seen by at least one of the trinitarians. Let’s see / hear what he thinks about the spirit which told you that.

No one has seen God at any time, John?

That’s right, yet you lodge false accusations against me while saying nothing to @ScottA who has said in this thread that trinitarians reject Christ and will weep and gnash their teeth.

No one has seen God at any time, John?

John is a Jewish monotheist, just like Jesus himself is. I affirm John 1:1-2. In fact, I affirm everything John wrote in the prologue of his Gospel.

No one has seen God at any time, John?

Thomas is a Jewish monotheist, just like Jesus himself is.

No one has seen God at any time, John?

Jesus knew he was God within the framework of Jewish monotheism. No. That‘s right. (I’m much closer to an owl than I am to a hippopotamus.) See above. We should say that they aren’t talking about the Jesus who is a Jewish monotheist. You should say that I’m a Jewish monotheist who...

No one has seen God at any time, John?

I didn’t threaten you. I’m a pacifist. I listened to what you said and then searched the scriptures like the Bereans were commended for doing. Test the spirit, said John. I did.
  8. Matthias

No one has seen God at any time, John?

I tested the spirit using the means prescribed and commended in scripture.

    Reason for The Crusades explained

Thanks. Do you know of any examples in the New Testament of a congregation under siege by the Romans (or others) who killed their attackers? We can find examples in post-biblical times.

    Reason for The Crusades explained

Do you think action would be necessary if members of the congregation were killing Jews, Muslims, fellow Christians (of any and all varieties), etc. who are persecuting their congregation?

@Riven do you want in on this? You can learn a lot in this thread.

No one has seen God at any time, John?

You already know what I think about that assertion. Do I need to use the “B” word?

No one has seen God at any time, John?

Thank you. I recommend to you, as I do to all of my readers, to remember what Jude wrote concerning not going beyond what is written.
  15. Matthias

No one has seen God at any time, John?

You’ve told me “nothing.” My theology doesn’t go beyond the 1st century Jewish monotheism of Jesus, the apostles, and the earliest Christians.
  16. Matthias

No one has seen God at any time, John?

I’ve told you several times now that Jewish monotheism is fully compatible with the Messiah’s Jewish monotheism, from Genesis 1:1 - Revelation 22:21. I don’t go beyond what is written in scripture. Be honest. Admit that you do.
  17. Matthias

No one has seen God at any time, John?

I’m going to repeat what I believe, even while you refrain (you say) from telling me what you believe. I’m expressing my theology as fully revealed in scripture - the Hebrew Bible and the New Testament. My theology / my doctrine concerning God is the Messiah’s theology / doctrine concerning...

No one has seen God at any time, John?

It doesn’t take a theologian to grasp that you are opposed to Jewish monotheism and to trinitarianism.
  19. Matthias

No one has seen God at any time, John?

The issue is that you are saying that Jesus is no longer a Jewish monotheist and I’m saying that he is.
  20. Matthias

No one has seen God at any time, John?

The creed of Judaism is fully revealed in scripture. Jesus is still a Jewish monotheist. All of scripture aligns with his Jewish monotheism. Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of the living God.
