Peter's preaching at Pentecost - quoted in Acts 2 by the OP - was mighty and not contradicting the essential preaching of Paul; this was my point.

Of course not; it's wrong, as you strongly imply. If you look at 1 Corinthians 7, you will see that if a spouse is converted after being married, the believing spouse can have a sanctifying effect on the other, particularly in being instrumental in leading the other to believe in the Gospel.
