Has anyone had any paranormal experiences?

I'm not sure this counts as paranormal, but when I was a kid, I was momentarily left in the car alone while it was running. I had a very strange sense of urgency come over to me like I knew something was going to happen before it did. It was like a real-life Spidey sense. Then the car started...

    Conversation with An Atheist

Can I prove God exists? No. Can I give plausible reasons to believe that God exists? Yes. The problem is, no amount of reasons or evidence will ever suffice. Ultimately, it's a matter of the heart. People who believe in God do so because their hearts are receptive to God. It all comes down to...

If you had a chance to go anywhere in the world. Where would it be?

I've never been to West Texas before. There's actually a lot of Texas I've never seen. I live south of Houston in Galveston. It's humid here too, plus, we have hurricanes and tourists to contend with. I've thought about relocating to central Texas (hill country) one day. It seems like a nice...

If you had a chance to go anywhere in the world. Where would it be?

Hey, I'm from Texas. What do you like about it? I'd list to go someplace tropical, like Bora Bora.

    New user here!

Hello and welcome, HappyApple. There's no specific forum for that, but Christian Life Forums his probably the closet.

    Proof of God

I know this wasn't directed at me, but I thought I'd offer my two cents. There is such a thing as divine justice and recompense in the Christian worldview. Only universalists believe everyone eventually goes to heaven, but that is a minority view. Traditional Christians such as myself believe in...

    Your thoughts on assisted dying?

This is where this goes: 2-year-old toddler euthanized for disabilities So, if a kid has a disability, the state in essence gives the parents a license to kill. Where does this go next? Is anyone who is disabled and incapable of making decisions for themselves next? Will disabled people be...

    Flat Earth Theory

And wouldn't it take billions and billions just to keep perpetuating the lie? At the risk of sounding like a broken record, I don't see how concealing a flat earth would be worth the time, effort, and money. If we woke up tomorrow with undeniable proof the earth was flat, then what? How would...

    Flat Earth Theory

I still don't see the pay off. What would be the goal of such an endeavor that would be worth so much effort?

It is time to give Pretrib a decent burial

Since you like to copy and paste, I'm going to do the same, except I'm going to do it with something I actually wrote: The Galilean wedding is the model for the pre-trib rapture I look forward to your copy and paste response.

It is time to give Pretrib a decent burial

No you didn't. You either ignore, create strawman arguments, make baseless assertions, ridicule, or copy and paste what others have said.

It is time to give Pretrib a decent burial

If you haven't been following, I addressed that very accusation here and here. And why do you guys like copying and pasting so much? Can you not think for yourselves?

It is time to give Pretrib a decent burial

Lacunza did NOT teach the pre-trib rapture. His eschatology was not the same as Irving or Darby. He didn't even believe in a literal anti-Christ. Full stop. You're just playing connect the dots and making huge assertions along the way. Yea, that actually doesn't refute anything.

It is time to give Pretrib a decent burial

No, but they do seclude themselves in the wedding chamber for seven days known as the "seven days of feasting" or "seven days of the bridal week." In biblical terms, 7 years is compared to a week. The number seven pops up quiet a lot in eschatology. I think you're skipping around a bit. When...

It is time to give Pretrib a decent burial

Edwards never said he didn't believe it or later repudiated it, but that's besides the point. Edwards wrote about two comings long before Lacunza. So, your initial claim that Lacunza invented it is incorrect. Also, I can give you other examples, if you prefer. French Reformed Protestant Peter...

    Your thoughts on assisted dying?

If they're not able bodied enough, how do you know they're mentally abled enough to make that decision?

Collapse of the twin towers in 2001. An engineering perspective

The biggest objection I have with this is the logistical complexities that would be involved in such an operation. The preparation alone would be extensive. You would need dozens, if not hundreds, of workers setting up equipment, laying cables, and removing or modifying structural elements for...

    Your thoughts on assisted dying?

I think it's a slippery slope when it's state sanctioned. Eventually, perfectly healthy people will be euthanized for seemingly trivial reasons, like feeling unhappy. There have already been instances like that. If people want to off themselves, they don't need the state to do it.

It is time to give Pretrib a decent burial

You have cobbled together some historical facts, conflated distinct doctrines, and made logical leaps that are overstated and unproven. The fact is, Ribera never taught the pre-trib rapture. He may have believed in a form of Catholic futurism, but the trib-rapture is the culmination of several...

    Revising Reality

Carl Sagan once said, “The Cosmos is all that is, or ever was, or ever will be.” This is the dominate materialist position. They only believe in what they can touch, taste, feel, etc., and can’t possibly envision more. A physicist, on the other hand, would know better. They would know that what...
