Can a christian be a buddhist?

I've studied this in some depth. Buddhism’s approach to the divine is intriguingly non-theistic, which sets it apart from many other spiritual traditions. Here’s a deeper look at why Buddhism traditionally does not acknowledge the existence of a creator God: Core Philosophical Tenets Anatta...

What is your take? Satan was the Religious Zealots of that time.

Not my style, but using the Sword of the Spirit is 24/7

Notice I don't ignore Scriptural truth when I answer sea lions.

What is your take? Satan was the Religious Zealots of that time.

Some critics prefer the incontinence of extrabiblical alignments. That's on them. Of course there are unequally yoked marriages where one partner becomes a believer and the other doesn't, but the point that incompatibilities exist is well made.

    The happy thread

That random person should stop picking on people just because they have isolated fruit preferences. I don't think they know how education works . . .

What is your take? Satan was the Religious Zealots of that time.

Hey, @MatthewG It's a matter of testing and aligning rather than confining. I've never considered the Scriptures to be a confining agent with regard to Christ and His Spirit. Quite the opposite. (Heb 4:12) For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword...

Divine Knowledge Of Good And Evil Before Human Knowledge Of Good And Evil

There are five explicit “good”s before the climactic “very good” on day six of the Creation Week. Six Days of Creative Work, Five Declarations of Goodness # (Gen 1:31) And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day...

Does Daniel 11 Describe King Herod and His Dynasty?

I've remembered four important things about Antiochus Epiphanes. Antiochus: A dynastic name used by several rulers of the Seleucid Empire, derived from Antiochos, meaning “steadfast” or “resolute.” Epiphanes (Greek: Ἐπιφανής): Translates to “God Manifest” or “Illustrious One.” It was a title...

Where do people get the spiritual authority?

That doesn't stop us from applying the lessons and principles intrinsic to the Books of the Bible, and receiving comfort, instruction, revelation, and correction from them. Isa 52:6-9 Therefore My people shall know My name; Therefore they shall know in that day That I am He who speaks...

GALATIANS 2 THE TRUTH OF THE GOSPEL

Yes, it was quite a flip for Paul, who as Saul was persecuting Christians, to seek help from them and begin preaching Christ. That same zeal shows through in all his letters and the Book of Acts.

GALATIANS 2 THE TRUTH OF THE GOSPEL

You raised the idea of "Paul's Gospel", which Galatians 2:11-12 doesn't mention in the various other versions from BibleHub, but I knew there were verses elsewhere that did. Then I make the point that Paul was preaching and teaching what God intended for him to do.

    What would you do?

Count it all joy . . . Jas 1:2-8 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, (3) knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. (4) But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. (5) If any of you lacks...

GALATIANS 2 THE TRUTH OF THE GOSPEL

Well what exactly is the issue since Paul did what he was commissioned to do? Act 9:10-20 Now there was a certain disciple at Damascus named Ananias; and to him the Lord said in a vision, "Ananias." And he said, "Here I am, Lord." (11) So the Lord said to him, "Arise and go to the street...

GALATIANS 2 THE TRUTH OF THE GOSPEL

Where do we find the bit about it being "Paul's Gospel"? American Standard Version But when I saw that they walked not uprightly according to the truth of the gospel, I said unto Cephas before them all, If thou, being a Jew, livest as do the Gentiles, and not as do the Jews, how compellest...

    Using Up The Universe

There are several evocative images online that attempt to visualize the apocalyptic language of 2 Peter 3:10–12, where “the elements shall melt with fervent heat.” Here are a few you might find compelling: Bible Art – 2 Peter 3:10–12 This digital artwork portrays a dramatic cosmic upheaval...

If churches are failing, how can they be improved

I have that task, although I am not part of a local denominational staff hierarchy. The first thing is to seek God's Kingdom and Righteousness, and trust that the ascension gifts of Ephesians 4 will flourish. Eph 4:8-16 Wherefore he says, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity...

Some Christians in Aotearoa New Zealand Like To Embrace Matariki

The encouragement for some Christians in New Zealand to embrace Matariki —the Māori New Year—stems from a desire to engage meaningfully with Aotearoa’s bicultural identity while remaining faithful to Christian convictions. In 2025, the Matariki public holiday in New Zealand was observed on...
