Will Christ utter new words in a Premil millennium?

I agree but there are currently people who still believe the earth is flat and they give explanations as to why they are correct. Just do a search for flat earth and you’ll see what I’m talking about. It’s entirely possible that during a Premil millennium there could be self deceived people...

Will Christ utter new words in a Premil millennium?

You are making an assumption that it will be obvious when someone is in the Premil millennium. We can deceive ourselves so it’s an assumption to say it will be obvious to everyone.

Will Christ utter new words in a Premil millennium?

If we make no assumptions whatsoever then full Preterist is just a likely as Amil or Premil and vice versa. If we can’t make assumptions on whether something is literal or spiritual then both are just as likely. Aren’t you making assumptions by saying wait for the millennium to find out what...

Will Christ utter new words in a Premil millennium?

Well, either Jesus will or won’t say and do things in a Premil millennium. That means there are only two initial assumptions. If we assume Jesus will say and do things that are new then by all our current standards that would mean He added to the Canon. If we assume Jesus will just sit on His...

Will Christ utter new words in a Premil millennium?

Jesus made that statement approximately 2,000 years ago. Arguing that currently some things still need to be fulfilled as the reason why He said my words would never passed away, doesn’t make sense. Once everything written is actually fulfilled then your reason for Him making that statement is...

Will Christ utter new words in a Premil millennium?

Yes, and not only that, the kingdom is an everlasting kingdom and once a person is saved they enter into that kingdom. To me it seems dangerous for a Christian to claim they aren’t in the kingdom. 2 Peter 1:10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election...

Will Christ utter new words in a Premil millennium?

No I don’t, and that’s a good point. Since most of us agree the Canon is complete (except maybe some Premils) and it has all the information we will need, why didn’t the early church leaders teach about a future millennium? The whole idea that the Canon almost certainly would get added to if...

Will Christ utter new words in a Premil millennium?

Ok, in John 11:35 it says Jesus wept. In this verse it’s explaining Jesus’ actions not His words. In the Premil millennium I would think Jesus will be physically active. Maybe He smiles, shakes a finger, raises His hands towards heaven, or whatever. Any of those physical actions would most...

Will Christ utter new words in a Premil millennium?

Great, let’s not waste time on whether God is a liar or not. Since it appears you agree that inserting extra time into a prophecy makes God a liar, let’s briefly look at Daniel 9:24. Daniel 9:24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression...

Will Christ utter new words in a Premil millennium?

Ok, that’s really all I’m trying to get at. I’m just interested in how Premils are dealing with this. I’ll put you down as Jesus not uttering any new words during the millennium. I’m not trying to prove anything. This is what I said in the OP “I’m not trying to debate anything, I’m just curious...

Will Christ utter new words in a Premil millennium?

Alright, what about Jesus adding to the canon during the millennium? What is your position on that?

Will Christ utter new words in a Premil millennium?

Since this thread is about a Premil millennium I guess that means the Premil view is also conjecture and guessing so wondering about the Premil millennium is all really a waste of time. Ok, got it.

Will Christ utter new words in a Premil millennium?

Ok, but then God didn’t permanently close the canon if it’s possible that it can be added to in the millennium, it was a temporal closure.

Will Christ utter new words in a Premil millennium?

I didn’t say Jesus would reign on earth for more than 1,000 years. I just said an extra 7,000 years of time could be added in between the millennium and Satan’s little season. It seems to me you are working very hard to come up with reasons as to why that can’t be but once you allow that type...

Will Christ utter new words in a Premil millennium?

Right, and I agree with that. If there is a gap in the 70 weeks and it “operated and functioned within the Word of God that has already been spoken” then it would also be possible for 7,000 years to take place after the millennium, before Satan’s little season and it “operates and functions...

Will Christ utter new words in a Premil millennium?

I agree, I don’t personally think there is a future millennial reign on earth, but I’m entertaining that idea for now to examine all the details of the idea that Christ will add to the Bible during a Premil millennium. Also, those that think Christ will come and reign in a future millennium...

Will Christ utter new words in a Premil millennium?

Most people consider the Bible, as a whole, the infallible word of God. Obviously the books in the Bible were written by different individuals but I think most Christians consider all of it the Word of God. 2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for...

Will Christ utter new words in a Premil millennium?

I don’t know of any Premil’s that have all 70 weeks being continuous with no gap. I would think adding in the times of the Gentiles in between the 69th and 70th week would’ve qualified as adding something new when Paul wrote his epistles. Do you think there is a gap in the 70 weeks in Daniel 9...

Will Christ utter new words in a Premil millennium?

Ok, I take it as your answer is, yes, it is possible to have a 1 Jesus 4:18. I can also see where a person can put forth an argument about if one of Paul’s lost epistles to the Corinthians were found, would it be added to the canon? No easy answer but definitely debatable .
