IS THE RAPTURE BEFORE THE TRIBULATION?

Err, may I point out that the apostle Paul died around 64/65 AD whereas the Book of Revelation was written in around 95 AD, so Paul could not have had any opinion or interpretation of it.

IS THE RAPTURE BEFORE THE TRIBULATION?

I said that sentence was spurious, but you replied with: However, you are mistaken. If you were to do a quick Google search you would come up with (Spurious Text): On Authority of Professor C. Tischendorf’s notes on the readings of the two oldest Greek manuscripts: The Sinaitic and the...

IS THE RAPTURE BEFORE THE TRIBULATION?

You need to consider: What is the purpose of Jesus reigning for 1,000 years before turning the Kingdom over to God? Who will Christ be reigning over? Why will it take 1,000 years? If only Christians are resurrected to start with, why do the rest of the dead have to wait 1,000 years before...

IS THE RAPTURE BEFORE THE TRIBULATION?

The "rest of the dead" are resurrected at the beginning, or during the Millenium (please excuse my use of the common mispelling, using just one 'n'!), not before it. I've made my contribution(s) to this discussion, but I've got a lot on this coming week or more so I may not be able to...

IS THE RAPTURE BEFORE THE TRIBULATION?

The symbolism of beast is explained in Revelation 17 (WEB): (9) Here is the mind that has wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman sits. (10) They are seven kings. Five have fallen, the one is, the other has not yet come. When he comes, he must continue a little while...

IS THE RAPTURE BEFORE THE TRIBULATION?

How do you deduce from Revelation 20 that the first resurrection occurs after the great tribulation? What it says about the first resurrection is - Revelation 20:4:6 (WEB): (4) I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was given to them. I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded...

IS THE RAPTURE BEFORE THE TRIBULATION?

God's wrath, and the wrath of the Lamb - Revelation 6:16 (WEB): (16) They told the mountains and the rocks, “Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him who sits on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb, Revelation 20:4 (WEB): (4) I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was...

IS THE RAPTURE BEFORE THE TRIBULATION?

The apostle Paul describes Jesus' first return, when he comes for his bride, the Church - 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17 (WEB): (15) For this we tell you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will in no way precede those who have fallen asleep...

IS THE RAPTURE BEFORE THE TRIBULATION?

Noah is not a type of the Church being raptured; it is Enoch who is the type of the rapture. He was "taken", or raptured, before the flood (great tribulation!): Genesis 5:24 (WEB): (24) Enoch walked with God, and he was not found, for God took him. Hebrews 11:5 (WEB): (5) By faith, Enoch was...

IS THE RAPTURE BEFORE THE TRIBULATION?

Deuteronomy 7:6 (WEB): (6) For you are a holy people to Yahweh your God. Yahweh your God has chosen you to be a people for his own possession, above all peoples who are on the face of the earth.

IS THE RAPTURE BEFORE THE TRIBULATION?

When the resurrected Jesus gave the revelation to John, to show things that were going to happen in the future, the Church had been going for around 60 years. If they were Old Testament saints, how could they say the underlined words in this verse? : Revelation 5:9-10 (9) They sang a new...

IS THE RAPTURE BEFORE THE TRIBULATION?

Chapter 5 tells of the 24 elders, symbolic of the resurrected Church, saying, Revelation 5:8-10 (WEB): (8) Now when he had taken the book, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each one having a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the...

IS THE RAPTURE BEFORE THE TRIBULATION?

Here are some supporting verses from the Old Testament that the church does not go through the Great Tribulation, i.e. the rapture is pre-tribulation. Isaiah 26: 19) Thy dead men shall live, together with my dead body shall they arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust: for thy dew is as...

Three days and three nights in the heart of the earth

Jesus wasn't speaking in any of those verses, and Scripture is given by inspiration of God, not Jesus (2 Timothy 3:16). Regardless, you writing "it cannot be interpreted that way. It can be reinterpreted that way" doesn't clear up anything!

Three days and three nights in the heart of the earth

The first and seventh days of Passover are sabbath days (high sabbaths). If one of those falls on the seventh day of the week then the other cannot possibly fall on seventh day of the week. Only the normal weekly sabbath always falls on seventh day of the week, the high sabbaths can fall on...

Three days and three nights in the heart of the earth

Or better still, read what it actually says! '... should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath day {starting Thursday evening}, (for that sabbath day was an high {sabbath} day {not a weekly sabbath day, starting Friday evening)'. Matthew 28:1 (LSV): (1) After the Sabbaths, around dawn on...

Three days and three nights in the heart of the earth

Actually, Saturday sunset to Sunday sunrise is one night, not one day. So that makes two days and two nights ; it's missing a day and a night. If Jesus died on the Thursday rather than the Friday, then it makes the prophesied three days and three nights.

Three days and three nights in the heart of the earth

You just made the mistake that has led to the confusion! You've assumed that when it said "sabbath day" that it was referring to a Saturday, but you've completely overlooked the words in brackets - "for that sabbath day was an high day". A "High Sabbath" refers to seven specific annual...

Three days and three nights in the heart of the earth

Jesus wasn't crucified on a Friday, he was crucified on a Thursday. The confusion arose because of mistaking the High Sabbath (Passover) for a normal weekly Sabbath day. Here's a webpage that explains it - Jesus Was Crucified on a Thursday.
