    The Bible on remarriage.

No, Moses wrote Genesis after the fact, but marriage originated with Adam and Eve.

    The Bible on remarriage.

No..."In the beginning" means "In the beginning." All that was before was "void."

    The Bible on remarriage.

It is good to remember that spoke on th cusp of both Jews and the Gentiles, including many of Israeli tradition, and that generation that Jesus said all these things would come upon. Nonetheless, going forward all was fulfilled by Christ, the Last.

    The Bible on remarriage.

Our recent and current marriage traditions hardly resemble those of ancient Israel...but enough that we Gentile Christians can still make refence to it as "two become one flesh ", etc.

    Not peculiar people as such

    The midway of a carnival.

    The Bible on remarriage.

That's what I said. Jesus fulfilled "the law and the prophets", without except. "If you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. 19 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies...

    The Bible on remarriage.

Why are some many out in the weeds on this issue of marriage, looking at self issues and relationships, rather than the one relationship that got it into the Bible from the beginning: between mankind and God--between the Bride and the Groom? Do "Christians" not understand that the little image...

Yeah, no trophy for barking on the midway.
  9. ScottA

    The Bible on remarriage.

No...the Law has been fulfilled. All that remains are the traditions as a witness.

    Man's Preterism, An Abomination

YOU? You are being a fool. Who was Peter, and who was Paul, before they were chosen and sent? And what did the Lawyers, Priests, and Pharisees get when they dissed them, having no thought they were the ones in the wrong? But you have had the greater warning, and therefore will receive even...

    The Bible on remarriage.

Marriage is all part of the "image" of God cast into man (male and female), since the beginning. Each of those terms of the Law show a part of that greater image. The image of a man--who portrays God as the Groom--meaning God can remarry after divorcing Him first love (Israel). Women can't...

    Man's Preterism, An Abomination

I open the scriptures to you, and this is your response. You have done it to Him. So be it.
  13. ScottA

If you've been "born again", were you reborn gradually or did it just happen in an instant?

So am I. Thanks for being honest. It would seem that this is the "everyone gets a trophy" generation and everyone thinks their "opinion" is the gospel. Unfortunately, repentance is usually required of such a generation. :( pryw

    Not peculiar people as such

No, you're wrong. You're just speculating and judging people, one of the lowest forms of human behavior. To the contrary, some of us know exactly what the circumstances are--have been in the presence of God, and are here to help--even help you. But we are not here to entertain your low-hanging...

    Not peculiar people as such

It's not "self blindness", but acceptance of the reality that we are all quite despicable--but God loves us and has better plans for us anyway. That acceptance is akin to confession and repentance, you see. If that makes us all like a bunch of reformed pirates--then, if nothing else--even if we...

Can't even ask nicely, I see. Such hatred. :(

Proper Bible Interpretation of 2 Peter 3:8-10

GEE "BRETHREN", WHAT DO YOU THINK? Do you think you should 1) Lean on your own understanding; 2) or take the word and interpretation of a student of the Bible, who keeps calling names, and defines "must shortly come to pass" as meaning "in the distant future; 3) or someone who speaks only what...

In these Days the Wolves think they the sheep!

Why do you accuse me and make demands? I told you the reason I have not given you chapter and verse, is because I am traveling. But if you know the scriptures, you could easily confirm what I quoted without chapter and verse. But what you said about not picking verses out only to support one's...

    Man's Preterism, An Abomination

Where have we heard that before... As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction. 1 Peter 3:16

Proper Bible Interpretation of 2 Peter 3:8-10

It only takes ONE VERSE to prove you wrong: Revelation 1:1.
