    The Gospel of Reconciliation

What is your understanding of the Incarnation?

Whose immortality? The last Adam's (Christ's), or our own?

You can believe what you want. You have nothing but your opinion on the matter. What I gave to you has been the understanding of the gospel from the beginning. Your attempt to put your understanding or interpreting what I stated notwithstanding. You have a problem in understanding someone and...

Whose immortality? The last Adam's (Christ's), or our own?

I have underlined the statement you made where you say that Christ, who has put His Spirit into us, who also quickens our dead bodies through faith. Then you say "I did not say our bodies are quickened by our faith. You are so confused on this issue you cannot keep track of what you say in...

Whose immortality? The last Adam's (Christ's), or our own?

Our bodies are not quickened by faith. We, mankind, do not receive immortality by faith. We all get immortality at the resurrection in the last day. I Cor 15:53-54. Quicken means to make physically alive, not spiritually or relational which we get by faith.

Once Save Always Saved / Eternal Security is in the Word, i.e in Christ

I have no idea why it was moved either. Most of the forums that are of Protestant origins all have heresies galore in them. For an Orthodox Christian, OSAS is a heresy. It was condemned by the Church in 1672 in the Council of Jerusalem along with most of what is called Calvinism. It is also...

Whose immortality? The last Adam's (Christ's), or our own?

Why is this so difficult for you to understand. First, Christians are not Pantheists. We do not become God and share in His immortality. All human beings will be raised from the dead because of the resurrection of the Incarnated Christ. I Cor 15:21-22 is addressing this point. Death came to...

Once Save Always Saved / Eternal Security is in the Word, i.e in Christ

Its not what I stated but your incorrect understanding of what I stated. Adam is the only person who could have attained immortality through obedience, created immortality. Man since Adam cannot attain immortality. That is why we needed Christ to become Incarnate, which means Christ assumed...

Once Save Always Saved / Eternal Security is in the Word, i.e in Christ

If you think you are correct then give me some evidence from the Apostolic times and immediately post Apostolic that held to your view. Adam was not created either mortal or immortal. He was free to attain either position depending on his obedience to God's command. He sinned and the...

Once Save Always Saved / Eternal Security is in the Word, i.e in Christ

Hardly, when what I stated has been the understanding of Creation and the creation of man from the beginning. The view has not changed for 2000 years within His Church. I also never stated that man wanted to make himself in God's image. Those are your words. But man was created to be like God...

Once Save Always Saved / Eternal Security is in the Word, i.e in Christ

Wanting to make oneself like God, (likeness) is what man was created to do. However, He was created to do this with God. Adam chose to attain it by himself. You contradicted yourself above "If any does not abide in Me does not square with your following statement, "It does not depend on...

    The Gospel of Reconciliation

Where in scripture does it say Satan condemned all of humanity to hell? He did this but He did a lot more. If it was only His sacrifice for sin we would all still be lost. This is true. His work was completely objective. BUT His objective work is not what is offered. Because of His...

How did Jesus take our punishment by dying on the cross?

Its not that I am not interested, but that they don't address the issue with the fall of man and what Christ did to overcome the fall of man. Prior to my post, all the posters were speaking as if Christ did only one thing which was to perform a sacrifice for sin. This was a secondary work of...

How did Jesus take our punishment by dying on the cross?

What has this to do with the topic? The above are two separate issues unrelated to what Christ accomplished by His Incarnation/death/resurrection.

How did Jesus take our punishment by dying on the cross?

Christ accomplished two things by His Incarnated life/death/resurrection. If Christ did not overcome death, this is physical death, the condemnation given to Adam, Gen 3:19, dust to dust, sin becomes irrelevant. That death was actually annihilation of each individual human being. We were...

    The Gospel of Reconciliation

What does it mean that Christ reconciled the world? And why? The doctrine of salvation is rooted in creation. We must know what man is or was in order to understand salvation. The essential understanding is that man was restored from the fall. Restored to fulfill the created purpose of...

    The Gospel of Reconciliation

You must have missed a word in vs 19. It says He reconciled the world. That means everything in the world as well as the world itself. You quoted Col 1:20 in another post. It does not say "world" in this text, but it clearly makes no exceptions from it. Scripture being consistant Rom 5:10...

    The Gospel of Reconciliation

You have a bizarre understanding of these verses. You quote Col 1:20 which is a text that directly, specifically denies your whole view of particular atonement. Paul is saying that Christ is the fullness and in His human nature resurrected and ascended. Christ is the created and glorified...

    Practical Righteousness Corner

As you posted a video regarding the false teachings of Calvinism it becomes very apparent in the particular views that stem from these errant theologies. Those that hold to some form of eternal security are consistent within that view regarding other scriptural principles . However, throughout...

    The Gospel of Reconciliation

It is hard to believe because no place in scripture will you find such an explanation regarding either reconciliation as you state. First, Christ's reconciliation of the world was done so that man and the world would once again have an eternal existence. Foremost, death needed to be conquered...
