    Who's believing who?

So you say, requiring me to believe what you say? I'm glad if you believe that the universe is believed enough, but are you leaving people out who want to believe what you do, with them?

Destroy the old world! Establish the new, with the words of Jesus! (daring?)

Hi there, So basically, we need to be proclaiming. "Proclaiming what?" you ask. Proclaiming the old world dead, proclaiming the new world, alive in Jesus! The Holy Spirit will speak up for us, as long as we are proclaiming God's Word. Jesus escaped the old world, and without Him it can do...

We need to be on the front foot, the Devil wants to snare the nations, by provoking their world (angry?)

Hi there, So I have been watching the Lord, looking to the Heavens and resisting the Devil (as best I can), and I have begun to perceive a pattern in the Devil's attacks. The Devil has made the nations of the world his focus, and wishes to bring them into a snare (that they are not for God)...

Is “Easter” in the original Scriptures?

Fabulous people, know when to celebrate; considerate people, know when to mourn (selah)

Did Adam and Eve know God's Law?

My understanding is that Adam and Eve fulfilled the Law in perfect fear of God.

I am praying that this forum become a cold forum (not a hot one). If you want to be cold, we can definitely be friends.

If you can win a brother, with fewer words: should that be the rule? Or is speaking in many words, proof of the greater love of God? (choice?)

Hi there, So I have been reading this and that, and discussing whether Churches are hot or cold, and I have come to the conclusion that words themselves can be hot or cold, because they can be few or great. Now how is few or great the same as hot or cold, I hear you ask? In the same sense that...

Is the Logos meaningful, or meaningless? - Depends on your view of Logos.

To me, the idea that the Logos became flesh, means that the flesh is as filling as it can be and as quenching as it can be.

Why didn't God destroy Satan at the beginning?

I think what's profound is that saying "if I had the power of God, there would be many things I would change; but if I had the wisdom of God, I wouldn't change a thing". You could phrase it like this "If I knew what Satan's mockery was before God, I would most certainly hold it against him; but...

Even at the end: Churches gonna be hot, churches gonna be cold - some will predict it, some not?

The interesting thing is that the hot or cold issue applies to "nations", as well. I would say America is a hot nation; I would say England is a cold nation. From there you can prophecy much more easily, because Churches in different nations are going to be influenced by the temperature of the...

Hope for backsliders! Your faith can get a second wind! (charging?)

The point is to carry out the faith for life; you might doubt at times, but the more your faith adds up with the wind you've been given, the stronger your faith will grow. As Jesus said "blessed are the servants that are found watching - even to the second or third watch" (gospels, from...

Why didn't God destroy Satan at the beginning?

God knew what He liked about Satan, when He created him - even if Satan fell, it would not change what God liked. This saying is not a comfort in the beginning, but it is both a joy and a comfort, in the end.

Why do some people not like the idea of OSAS?

If you can believe OSAS for life, you will be saved (for believing something). Let's face it, faith is about commitment, not tangent.

    Who's believing who?

It's not necessary that everyone believes, just that someone does. (selah) Destroying belief would undoubtedly free you of unnecessary belief (if you have any), but how are you going to believe the problem is over if you don't believe anything?

Is it a sin to play video games?

On the one hand "we ought to live by imagination, and not die for glory" On the other hand, I wouldn't play them every day.

The Holy Spirit is a witness

He is a witness, and He almost always has a witness with Him (just as Jesus did).

As a rule, "partially right, most of the time" is moral.

I am in moral agreement with you!

As a rule, "partially right, most of the time" is moral.

I think in that situation you have something that is needed, but which you can't "moral" simply because it was needed. (Just to go back to the OP) The beauty of this proverb is that it is very easy to bring to mind, does not burden and focuses on the good.

Scripture says "in His Name, the Gentiles will trust" - what will 'Evolutionist Gentiles' trust in Jesus?

It comes down to a simple choice: do you - as part of a species -, want to serve class or develop kind? Your class is a refinement of the design you already have, your kind is an alteration to your design that pressures your design to innovate. Both of these things, contribute to the species...

    The Sealed Book

FYI other translations say "scroll" not 'book'. To say 'book' suggests a series of things are withheld (chapters thereof), to say 'scroll' suggests there is a single concept withheld. I prefer the latter interpretation.
