    Re Spirit baptism

You didn't address the question but dodged it and provided your words and wisdom based on nothing and no scriptural logic or understanding. Goodbye.

    Re Spirit baptism

Here are the miraculous gifts (plural), those which were manifested by the laying on of the apostle's hands, not gift (singular as in Acts 2:38 which is the Holy Ghost or Spirit itself) that believers receive when baptized. Who's doing these today? You? Are you performing miracles or...

    Re Spirit baptism

The miraculous gifts have ceased 1 Cor 13:8, so you don't have one of those listed in 1 Cor 12:8-10, nor dies anyone else, but a baptized believer has the gift (singular), the indwelling of the Holy Ghost. And no, you're not reading me correctly.

Do you believe Spirit baptism replaces water baptism?

Keep in mind too that Catholics don't really baptize but rather pour water on people.

    Re Spirit baptism

Not exactly sure what you mean, but you must consider the context of the 1 Cor letter, who it was written to and their issues. It wasn't written to us in present day, but to them. Then look at Ephesians. The perfecting of the saints when all are in unity which was also the need for the various...

Do you believe Spirit baptism replaces water baptism?

You must read a bit further to understand clearly what Paul meant. 1 Cor 3:4-6. In verse 6 it says Paul planted and Apollos watered and God gave the increase. You must read a bit further to understand clearly what Paul meant. Read 1 Cor 3:4-6. There it says Paul planted, Apollos watered.

    Re Spirit baptism

First of all, we receive the gift of the Holy Ghost at the time of baptism (Acts 2:38) which is not a baptism of the spirit but rather it's indwelling in us by which we are also joined to the body of Christ, the church. The gift (singular, not gifts) of the Holy Ghost is exactly that: the Holy...

Do you believe Spirit baptism replaces water baptism?

Not sure what point you're trying to make. 1 Peter 3:20-1 says just the opposite of your above statement, the baptism DOES save us. Water baptism is 100% essential to salvation.

Do you believe Spirit baptism replaces water baptism?

One Lord one faith one baptism.

The thief on the cross misconceptions

Yes! That's what ONE scripture says. Ignor the rest that add more. Erase the rest of the scriptures that say something additional is required. Goodbye, you don't know what you're talking about.

The thief on the cross misconceptions

Scripture doesn't teach believing is all that's required, unless you choose to ignor other scriptures. These are your words and thoughts that have no biblical foundation.

The thief on the cross misconceptions

You've got it a bit backwards. Obedience comes first, which leads you to obey the commands afterwhich you can attain your salvation or on the case of Abraham, be counted as righteousness. Obedience is NOT evidence of salvation. "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved" (Mark 16:15)...

The thief on the cross misconceptions

Neither I nor the bible says obedience saves, but the bible makes it clear that obedience is necessary as was the case of the aforementioned Abraham as relates to his faith.

Saved by God := Through Faith

Faith alone doesn't save. You'd have to disregard other scripture to arrive at that erroneous conclusion

The Sermon on the mount common misunderstanding

The text of his teaching also clearly supports this as well. It's obvious he was not addressing the throng of people following him.

The Sermon on the mount common misunderstanding

The Sermon on the mount, Matthew 5-7, common misunderstanding. Contrary to popular belief, the Sermon on the mount (Matthew 5-7) was not really a sermon at all nor was it a sermon to the throng and multitudes of people that followed Jesus throughout Galilee. The word "sermon" is a misnomer. It...

How long does Salvation last ....and why.

How long? Faithful unto death. Rev 2:10 "Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life." Also, read the...

The thief on the cross misconceptions

You're trying to twist things. Obedience doesn't save but without being obedient you certainly won't be. Abraham had faith and his faith was counted as righteousness but he was also obedient. Had he not been obedient, he couldn't have then become righteous as it was his obedience that...

The thief on the cross misconceptions

Yes we are saved by God's grace through faith but that doesn't mean we are not to be obedient. We are saved by God's grace through faith after following his commands, all of them. Jesus said he that believeth AND is baptized shall be saved. Mk 16:15-16. And you certainly are nor understanding...

The thief on the cross misconceptions

A few points of clarification to make. The scripture you cited has nothing to do with nor does it support death bed conversions or any conversion for that matter that would be inconsistent with scriptures that clearly teach a plan and process to be saved when all pertinent scriptures are...
