You forget that thanks to the little monk the RCC made considerable changes themselves.

The man is misled. What can happen then, we have seen. Bush - the Lord told me to invade Iraq.

Has always been the case as long as I can remember and in the meantime that's a very long time. About the last leverage he has to pressure Putin to end the war in Ukraine meanwhile making new enemies, India in this case. Of course as a Dutch I hope he will manage to end that terrible war. But...

Sure, the first centuries after Christ were good, thereafter things got very wrong. As of today the RCC is still praying to Mary. Please keep the balance when you judge.

And yet the reformation, with its faults, was necessary. I assume I don't have to list the fallacies of the RCC back then, and some still present today.

You are correct, the duty of your president is to uphold the constitution. I can understand that Trump with his background (money) is attractive to the teachings of Paula White and the false Prosperity gospel, by that he is deceived whether knowingly or by ignorance.

Well, post, I don't like puzzles :grinning:

Let's check with (for example) the KJV. 1Joh 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. and 1Joh 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 1Joh 1:9 If we confess our...

I think 1 John 3:9 is crystal clear. 1Joh 3:9 No one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God's seed abides in him, and he cannot keep on sinning because he has been born of God. That's what happens when we are born again, we receive the indwelling Holy Spirit and He (the Holy Spirit)...

I asked you a simple relevant yes or no question, why not answer ? Lemme repeat, when you sin, do you ask for forgiveness ? 1Joh 1:5 This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. 1Joh 1:6 If we say we have...

Which of the 10 commandments Jesus spoke about? I remember the 2 most important ones.

I assume, that when you do sin, you ask for forgiveness ?

Keep in mind that in Paul days people were raised with the Mosaic Law, 613 commandments (works) to obey, mission impossible. Then Jesus fulfilled and abolished the Law (Efeze 2:15, Gal 3:13,25) and was hard, very hard to understand, a complete change of mind, way of living. The echo of of the...

How does this answer my question? Lemme repeat : What if you (after repentance) would not have made any changes in your life and kept doing the sinful things of your past, would you still be saved?

And why do you think it is different with others ??

Paul about the end of his life - 2Tim 4:6 For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure has come. 2Tim 4:7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 2Tim 4:8 Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness...

When you came to Christ, you became a new creation, made changes in your life, that is work / fruits. What if you would not have made any changes and kept doing the sinful things of your past, would you still be saved?

Finally :vgood: Excellent question, but let's enjoy our hard fought agreement for the moment. :grinning:

Okay, we made progress. On v10 - when you came to Christ, you became a new creation, made changes in your life, that is work / fruits. What if you would not have made any changes and kept doing the sinful things of your past, would you still be saved?
