@Wynona Being the golden child is abusive.

How do you handle a lifetime of struggle

@quietthinker Gabor is good, but I did not like how he kept bringing politics into his talks. He was affected by WW2 in Poland I think, when his mother had to give him away to a woman in the street. He had a rough childhood.

How do you handle a lifetime of struggle

@suzzeeb Welcome! I have been dealing with a frequent cause of the symptoms you mentioned these last few months, which is complex PTSD. I knew that I had experienced abuses in my childhood, especially neglect, but had no idea that they had caused so many problems during my life (long life)...

    Deconstruction Part 2: Into Apostolicity

There is water baptism then hands are lain on the person and prayers are said for the Spirit to baptize. They believe it happens but it is doubtful. No confirmation as far as I know.

    Deconstruction Part 2: Into Apostolicity

I am not an expert, but I believe that they say it is when we are Spirit baptized.

    The Modern Gospel

"This is my view. Paul was talking about himself as a Pharisee under the law." But Paul says elsewhere, that a miserable sinner is not how he saw himself as a Pharisee under the law for example: Philippians 3:6 : as to zeal, a persecutor of the church; as to righteousness under the law...

    Deconstruction Part 2: Into Apostolicity

Excellent. Listened to it on 1.5. Very refreshing to hear someone who takes scripture seriously.

    Deconstruction Part 2: Into Apostolicity

The term eastern was I think due to it being the Russian and Greek parts of the church united. I love the chanting in the liturgy, and the liturgy itself as it is just about all scripture. Do you have a link for me to hear Alan Ballou's main teachings thanks. I have looked at the video list.

    Deconstruction Part 2: Into Apostolicity

Hi Wynona I spent most of the last 50 years as a believer, in Evangelicalism, some of it in Calvinism, and then a few years ago began to become interested in Eastern Orthodoxy, taking a lot of time studying the early teachings of the church, and realizing that whatever we believe, must be seen...

    Deconstruction Part 2: Into Apostolicity

Agreed, but think it is nearly all taking it out of context. Yes you are welcome to save it. Thank you.

    The Modern Gospel

This is for you @ChristisGod do you agree? Interpreting Romans 7. There have been two interpretations of Romans 7 which have dominated church history and which are sometimes known as the Primitive and the Post-Primitive. Augustine held to the Primitive in his early years, as did some of the...

    The Modern Gospel

@Johann I am not a follower of Pelagius, I just hate injustice and the near worship of Augustine which I will educate people about whenever I get the chance.

    The Modern Gospel

You can start at 33 mins to hear Pelagius did not teach what is claimed. Just reminded me what a dog Augustine was and how the apples Calvin and Luther, did not fall far from the tree.

    The Modern Gospel

The point of argument was that Pelagius denied the 'T' and said that a man can do good.

    The Modern Gospel

I am talking about blatant contradictions in the systemic theology of an individual person. I know that there was error in the early church. The role of bishops is not scriptural. You are wrong about Pelagius by the way. I have been looking for the quote that proves it but have been busy today...

    The Modern Gospel

So that's two petals down? No I know four pointers and they don't know that their theology is now inconsistent.
