The Limited Aspect of Christian Love - "I love you, but I don't like you."

Yes. 'Like' is fleeting. Love will feed me a meal when Im homeless. Both are good. But loving action is way more important. By freeing yourself of the need to like everyone, you get to focus on doing practical and helpful actions to all whether you feel like you like them or not. Sure, this...

The Limited Aspect of Christian Love - "I love you, but I don't like you."

I did read the OP. I do not agree that like is better because I see liking as just a preference in our emotions whereas biblical love is doing practical things to help others.

There is too much negativity. Let us come together for a moment to share why each of us is grateful to God!

Thankful for the ways God is using the pressures of life to conform me to the image of Christ. Thankful to serve under Him. He is faithful. He won't fail.

I give God all the Glory and Praise

God is my strong tower. The righteous run in it and are saved. Many are the afflictions of the righteous but the Lord delivers them out of them all.

    Jesus, You Deserve Our All

Ridiculed and despised. Belittled and unappreciated. You suffered, Lord, and yet you sacrificed for the joy set before You. I have strength and I can keep going because of You. You strengthen me with Your Holy example. I can keep serving and keep giving because You are worthy of it all.

The Limited Aspect of Christian Love - "I love you, but I don't like you."

Its good to love always and like whenever possible but to love even when liking someone isn't the case. Biblical love, I believe is more sacrificial than unconditional. We love in deed and in truth not just in words or feelings. iIf your enemy is hungry, feed them. If they are thirsty, give...

    Unpopular Opinions

Share your unpopular opinions here. Mine? I now think selfies are vain and unflattering at best and begging for temptation at worst. I used to post them and had dozens of them. I'm done. People who are clever about capturing women's beauty in photos often have them laughing, enjoying...

    "Happy Wife, Happy Life"

The saying stands. An unhappy wife makes for an unhappy life for the husband. But its on the wife to choose joy.

    Scripture in Context

I don't debate doctrine anymore. But I often wonder if anyone is truly capable of having an open mind in this topic. The thing is the majority of modern Christians here in the west believe in some form of eternal security. After all, it sounds so humble and spiritual to say Christ did it all...

    "Happy Wife, Happy Life"

If a man does all he can to make his wife happy, will that for sure make a happy life? What if we took happy wife, happy life to mean that a wife chooses to be joyful in the face of adversity? What if we women cultivated our own happiness through thanksgiving, smiling, and focusing on the good...
