    WATER BAPTISM CAUSES DIVISIONS

Augustine was a disaster. He taught that man has no free will. He taught that babies must be baptized immediately or they would go to hell if they died. John Calvin formed his ideas around him.

    WATER BAPTISM CAUSES DIVISIONS

Man has a God-shaped hole in his soul that only God can fill. Someone said this...can't remember who. Maybe Augustine. Maybe St. Francis of Assisi.

    WATER BAPTISM CAUSES DIVISIONS

Sounds like some churches...yes. The CC would be one - I do believe they teach the gospel.... but some priests refer to sin as a weakness instead of an affront to God. Always talking about how God loves everyone... never about what WE are supposed to do. It's a comforting sermon... instead of...

    WATER BAPTISM CAUSES DIVISIONS

Theraputic Christianity is on the way and already here in many churches. It teaches how to be happy with ourselves. It uses Jesus as one would use a self-help book. The good news is spoken of...but nothing of what comes next. Jesus said to follow Him. He said to pick up our cross daily. He said...

    WATER BAPTISM CAUSES DIVISIONS

I agree and will add that there is more than one baptism in scripture. Baptism for the forgiveness of sins. Matthew 3:11 Baptism to reveive the Holy Spirit. Acts 1:5 Baptism for empowerment....not always with water, but with laying on of hands. Acts 2:3

    WATER BAPTISM CAUSES DIVISIONS

Sounds pretty scary. Sounds pretty demanding. No wonder some believe in OSAS... it gives assurance...even if it's a false assurance.

    WATER BAPTISM CAUSES DIVISIONS

I don't go to any church anymore. It's been a while now. But my question would be: How would I know I'm in one of the ecumenical churches you speak of?

    WATER BAPTISM CAUSES DIVISIONS

Agreed on all. Also, I've asked 2 members here re Romans 6:3-4 The question was: Does Romans 6:3 refer to water baptism? I believe that it does. Do you agree?

    WATER BAPTISM CAUSES DIVISIONS

This generation is pretty much lost to atheism. Man has lost his way. Any church that teaches the gospel is a good church that might lead someone to God and this is what a church is for. You see a great ecumentical move Amigo. I do not see this. I don't understand how the Protestant churches...

    WATER BAPTISM CAUSES DIVISIONS

Hi gpresdo I'd like to ask you the same question I asked the other member: In Romans 6:4 do you believe Paul is NOT referring to water baptism?? What would the person be RAISED UP from if not the water?? [Romans 6:4 KJV] "Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as...

Patriot Platform...the fight for the UK

Looks like the civil war may have begun. Too many of the population (indigenous) are against their own government. And rightly so. The number one reason that government even exists, and for which it was formed, is to protect its people. The UK is protecting the invaders.

What does loving your neighbor look like in today's world?

OR We love ourselves too much. The young are absorbed with themselves. Were we like this at one time??
  14. GodsGrace

What does loving your neighbor look like in today's world?

Agreed. Believers are living in the light. Sinners are living in darkness. No use for an unbeliever to ask forgiveness. If he does, it means he is beginning to believe in God. Exactly. God takes intent into consideration. It is one thing, for example, to say something nasty to someone due to...

What does loving your neighbor look like in today's world?

It's wrong to call a child of God a sinner because it does not distringuish him from a sinner. I've posted a lot of scripture...looks like scripture doesn't matter. YOU are a child of God that sins. You are NOT a sinner. This is a sinner: 1 John 1: 6So we are lying if we say we have fellowship...

What does loving your neighbor look like in today's world?

And we've come a long way and you have not understood the point of the conversation.

What does loving your neighbor look like in today's world?

Please post where I stated that we no longer sin. I've already replied to this. To you, I believe.
  18. GodsGrace

What does loving your neighbor look like in today's world?

If both are defined as SINNERS,,,then what's the difference between a child of God and an unbeliever? 1 John 3:1 1See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are! We can commit sin: 1 John 1:6-9 6So we are lying if we say we have fellowship with...

What does loving your neighbor look like in today's world?

Right. But the question here is the opposite. Do you believe Christians should be defined as sinners?
  20. GodsGrace

What does loving your neighbor look like in today's world?

Agreed. Then what I'm saying is that we should not identify ourselves as sinners. But as children of God that commit sin. 1 John 1:6-7 6If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth; 7but if we walk in the Light as He Himself...
