Amen bro. Good word. :)

I think ( and to @mjrhealth ) that Father God at "this' time , has withdrawn Himself and folded His hands ...waiting to see just what man will do...then 'One Day" He will will say.. - " Ready or not, here I come!" Obviously His Holy Spirit is with us as individuals , but where world matters...

I can say amen to that. :) No-one has prefect truth. But God set us in a Body , and together we have the truth . I would guess that if we each laid out on the table ever single thing that we believed in turn, 99.9 of us would be called a heretic by the rest of the group! Only One has all truth...

Yes, nicely said. :) Every 'group' and denom has their own pet beliefs ... not unbiblical but taken to an extreme maybe...by an over emphasis on a certain scripture verse.

Keturah ...(Abraham's wife after Sarah died.

Totally agree...

It looks scarifying ....almost prophetic 2 Peter "..and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up." Last summer we had forrest fires not of us, fires to the right, to the left and below us in Montana USA ....and then...

Amen...wisely said ... Jesus told us to ABIDE in Him...with me I abide , then I come out..then back, then out...I do not stay in the constant-abiding position of dwelling in Him. I love PS 91 ..."He that dwelleth in the Secret Place Of The Most High shall abide under the shadow of The Almighty...

I have a couple of good friends in the cessationist camp. :) One because he is very bitter that he wanted to be baptized in the Holy Spirit but it never happened for him...so he changed to not believing that God speaks 'today'. Thanks for the conversation.

Oh thank you...I wasn't sure you would respond. Good to know, as I have never known what they believed here. I was in the Charismatic movement for a while. In reading the link you gave it sounds like your group do not believe in the gifts of the Holy Spirit in action today. I confess that I...

Thanks for response David. When I ask for confirmation of something from the Lord..even when I see something in a verse, I also need the confirmation of the Holy Spirit witnessing with my spirit. Serious question that I have wondered about for a long time. ( Most Calvinists are abrasive so...

Yay!! Have we had Abigail ? Maybe....

True..point being, why would I 'bother' to verify it with scripture when your belief is that God has said all He needs to say...and does not speak outside of a bible verse. So 1000 verses confirming my dreams and visions would not convince you if you mean what you wrote above - 'nothing more...

Agree, effortless living in and by the Spirit... Im reading a little short book by Andrew Farley ( never heard of him) that my daughter gave me..Called Relaxing with God. chapter Title are "Your dead to law-based religion", " It's not about you", etc etc. Mark, it's SOoooo good to see you, I...

Thanks...so can I draw from your response here that there are dreams and visions that you would say amen to when they line up with bible?
