John 3 Jesus discussion with Nicodemus

No we are still in it if we sin in thought word or deed.

John 3 Jesus discussion with Nicodemus

Jesus is telling Nico that he must be born again. I don't agree with your interpretation of this as I have explained previously.

Anyone who is on that path, will come to a crisis and see exactly what is inside them.

John 3 Jesus discussion with Nicodemus

There comes a point, to those seeking closeness with Christ when they see their real state - wretched men.

John 3 Jesus discussion with Nicodemus

I think I have already answered this. Jesus was refering to Nico

John 3 Jesus discussion with Nicodemus

marks what you are saying goes directly against what was taught very early in the church (and is seen in the scripture). You are talking about later developments which were clearly satanically introduced to keep men from the union. There is no gradual sanctification. There is a process of coming...

John 3 Jesus discussion with Nicodemus

    What do you mean?
  8. H

John 3 Jesus discussion with Nicodemus

Absolutely. Many do that. Our focus IS on Christ when we desire complete union with Him.

'answer Jesus gave was he' small h - Nico

John 3 Jesus discussion with Nicodemus

I mean that the answer Jesus gave was he must go through a spiritual entry into a level where his problem is solved. Theosis solves all of mans problems as he is healed of his damaged psyche.

John 3 Jesus discussion with Nicodemus

Indeed you are correct. But the ones who really do achieve it have a definite testimony of their entry into it. They all go through a really terrible period 'in the wilderness' where they are stripped of all things and become humble. It is clear that the ones who are deceived do not have this...

John 3 Jesus discussion with Nicodemus

@marks, there is definitely a great deal of wrong teaching about sinlessness, bad examples, and a great prejudice due to the holiness movement errors. That is why I quote the early church on it. Of course there were those at that time who opposed it and also in the NT, but the positive teaching...

John 3 Jesus discussion with Nicodemus

Sorry to take so long to get back here. I think that marks answered that one in the above post. May I ask, do you not see it?

John 3 Jesus discussion with Nicodemus

It is happening on this board whenever anyone speaks of sinlessness the response is (incredulously and often hatefully ) "how can that be?". Yet is is the same answer that Jesus gave to the covert Christian Jewish leader, to all of man's problems.

John 3 Jesus discussion with Nicodemus

So how do we walk as Jesus walked and what does be ye holy as I am holy mean?

John 3 Jesus discussion with Nicodemus

I believe that a man who submits entirely to God is saved whenever in history it occurs so I believe that men were saved in the OT times and that for many it could be on their deathbeds.

John 3 Jesus discussion with Nicodemus

Jesus came to save us from our sins. Therefore we are not saved from them if they are still present. Logic. When were the disciples free from sins? After Pentecost.
  18. H

John 3 Jesus discussion with Nicodemus

It doesn't say they were saved anywhere.
